A cry from down the hall. Another editor has discovered that FiveThirtyEight updated its projection and Trump has a 55 percent chance of winning.
The Republicans control everything. There are no checks and balances.
Trump will fill Scalia's vacancy and all the judicial vacancies.
What does this mean for the press? He despises the press. His supporters joke about lynching reporters.
I get a text from my Bernie bro telling me that Trumpsters are jubilant.
I'd like to crack a joke. I haven't felt this much political gloom and doom since the Reagan landslide of 1980.
But this may be worse. Reagan at least offered hope.
Trump is dark and mean and foreboding. Always talking about locking people up. Or beating them up. Or investigating his opponents and punishing his enemies.
Hold it. Clinton takes Colorado. The firewall. But Ohio goes to Trump. And Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania are leaning his way.
It could come down to Arizona and Alaska. Home of McCain and Palin—the 2008 ticket.
This is surreal.

Chicago has always been like a blue UFO plopped down on the lake's edge in almost entirely red Illinois. The rest of Illinois hates Chicago precisely because they dominate and dictate leftist policy and onerous taxation upon them.
The entire midwest, southeast and much of the interior west has long been red, too, other than scattered large cities.

The Trump Department of Justice must investigate and prosecute Robert Creamer. As a repeat offender, this ex-felon (and his Commie Congressional Wife) deserves a long prison sentence. Maybe while he is in the can he can write another book about the repeal of Obamacare.

Look at the county map of Illinois. It is almost a solid Trump Red State except for the Chicago Area. Illinois is a great example of a corrupt city having too much influence over the wholesome hardworking countryside via its idle population numbers.

Most major US cities are afraid of red state America. Did you see that Hillary got almost twice as many votes in the state of New York as did President elect Trump who was born there.

The press corps needs newspeople, not propagandists.
