Will Obama pardon Clinton?

At a campaign rally in Novi, Michigan Friday evening, Donald Trump asked President Barack Obama not to "pardon Clinton and her co-conspirators" if any charges were filed related to the email scandal.

"Mr. President," Trump said. "Will you pledge not to issue a pardon to Hillary Clinton and her co-conspirators for their many crimes against our country, and against society itself. No one is above the law."

Back in September, Trump called on Obama not to pardon Hillary. As was demonstrated by Ford pardoning Nixon when he took office, Obama can blanket pardon her (and her minions). The big question is: will Obama tarnish his legacy by throwing her a pardon? Or will he let her sink? He will be under tremendous, tremendous pressure by his party to pardon her.

I don't think that he,*personally*,would gain anything by doing so.In fact I think he,and the Rat Party,would be hurt by it.And now there's even talk of President Michelle My Belle in 2020 as well.So I doubt that there’d be a pardon unless The Former Twelfth Lady makes a very good case to him in favor.

A gesture pretty much the very definition of irrelevant.
A pardon from Obama can’t help her.

Some blogger was floating the theory that Comey didn’t charge her, because he knew Trump would win, and without a conviction Obama can’t pardon her, but Trump would be able to hold her to account. I don’t know if this holds any water.

Plus she gets to keep whatever money is left in her campaign after paying all the bills. That’s why she was so busy raising tons of money from the suckers in Hollyweird, and milking all her rich Wall Street donors.

Can you pardon someone before any charges are filed? What about RICO, Murder, treason, etc. If no charges are filed before Jamuary 20, can Obama protect her at all?

I don't think there is such a thing as a pre-pardon.

Upon taking office Gerald Ford's first official act was to pardon Richard Nixon. At that point Nixon had not been convicted of anything. Had not even been charged.

HILLARY has never been “convicted” of a crime. As such, there is NO pardon for which to issue.

Tough call. If he does, it reflects badly on all Dems. If he doesn’t, he will likely get caught up in the criminality of her actions (because we all know he was right in there with her......all the way).
