“I don’t know if this holds any water.”

As was pointed out to me by another Freeper, Ford pardoned Nixon and no conviction was involved.

Except he was a sitting President at the time of the impeachment. She holds no government position.

Ford pardoned Nixon and no conviction was involved.

But from what crime was he pardoned?

That is true, but Hillary is still just a private citizen, her going to jail won’t matter to the country, like if she were a President, I don’t know if that would make a difference.

Private citizen is probably the wrong word, I mean of no significance to anyone:^)

True, maybe lawyers can help on this one. My cursory knowledge of the law tells me that the pardon Ford issued to Nixon would only be in effect for his time as president. It was an executive decree, much like all of the illegal decrees Obumbles has issued to subvert congress (see: Iran deal). Hence, Obumbles could issue that same blanket pardon but will only be in effect while he's president.

I'm not sure, but wouldn't Hillary have to be charged specifically to be absolved?
