Democratic voters in Florida and North Carolina are requesting mail-in ballots at a significantly higher rate than they were at this point in the 2012 campaign, a promising sign for Hillary Clinton in what could be two of the closest swing states in the country.

Awful lot of people voting Dem, because their Dad, and Grand-dad, and G-Grand-dad did, too. Even though the current crop of Dems has little to do with the Democrats of the early 20th century.
And it seems that many on Free Republic are easily discouraged. It used to not be that way!
I've been checking out "The_Donald" subreddit on Reddit.com and those guys are pumped and enthusiastic. I'm keeping my loyalty with Free Republic but I wish more of us would have the same can-do spirit.
All these "down-in-the-dumps" "just sayin'" Debbie Downers here are a real drag.
People tend to forget that black Americans trace their roots in this country back further than many whites do. They have more to lose in a large-scale Latin American invasion than anyone else.
No doubt about it Sam. It’s the same hand wringers on every freaking site. They are extremely annoying.
Exactly. The defeatism I see on FR is amazing. And unfortunately, it seems that many folks on here don't seem to put much stock in God's ability to handle the outcome of this election. Reminds me of Jesus' words: "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"
I think the 2 most important things we as Christians, conservatives, and concerned citizens can do concerning this election are:
1) *Pray* about the election. Every day, if possible. That's the best antidote to defeatism and fear that I know of. And God isn't stupid. He can figure out how to bring Trump to victory. We don't have to insult His intelligence by figuring out exactly how this will happen and what combination of states is necessary. He's more than capable of handling this. ;) Proverbs 3:5 says it well: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."
2) Avoid reading negative articles as much as possible. They just discourage you, and what can you really do about such negative news anyway except pray? We are not in control, but God ultimately is.
I'd characterize her as a Southern Democrat. Probably, she has more in common with current Republicans than I do. However, she still thinks that FDR and Kennedy are running the party, and Jimmy Carter was a brilliant man. Sad.
Funny, she introduced me to one of her friends, the last time I visited. "This is so-and-so. She's a Republican, too!!". Like we all know each other by a secret handshake, or something. After she flounced away, her friend and I shared a chuckle over it.
Second it.
Time for a Revolution.
Agreed. With God anything is possible.
I HATE to use the term “concern troll” because I was called it before I got myself composed and realized what you are saying is the truth.
But STOP posting threads where donald is down 400 points, and the NY Times is the reference.
Yup, the culture espouses Alpha Dogs, and Trump is as Alpha as they come.
My prediction, if/when Hillary! loses, is that the theme will be "America just wasn't ready for a female president." No overt sexism, but it certainly will be implied.
Smart operators will watch what Trump did to court the black vote. Much as Trump watched how BO ran his campaign in 2008, and to a lesser extent, 2012. IMO, we're seeing 2008 redux, with Trump largely playing the role of Obama, only without the fawning media coverage.
But STOP posting threads where donald is down 400 points, and the NY Times is the reference.
Amen!
“They have more to lose in a large-scale Latin American invasion than anyone else.”
Bernie Sanders made that same point. I wish Trump would emphasize it more often, and pick up not only some Sanders voters but some additional black voters as well.
Been waiting to see this-
Probably Puerto Ricans who vote Democrat
Probably Puerto Ricans who vote Democrat
Al Gore in Florida. “Count every (fraudulent) vote.”
THIS IS PSY-OPS
