NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana A Black Lives Matter-aligned organization called Take Em Down Nola stormed New Orleans Andrew Jackson monument demanding all monuments related to the Civil War come down across the city. The monument which sits at the heart of the citys historic French Quarter. Chanting No justice, no peace and F*ck the police, the group of protesters took issue with barricades and police guarding the iconic Jackson Square monument as a few members of Take Em Down Nola immediately tried to jump the barriers, but were quickly apprehended by New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) officers.
The protests, for the most part, remained peaceful, though a number of protesters threw red paint-filled balloons at officers as well as their vehicles. At least one altercation took place, resulting in the arrest of a protester.

Hmmmm. So, if "we're" gonna erase history, then I suggest we also erase any trace of slavery since it's so offensive. And, demand repayment for transportation and housing costs that were undertaken all those years ago. With interest. I mean if we're gonna be absurd then by golly let's take it all the way.

“Take Em Down Nola stormed New Orleans Andrew Jackson monument demanding all monuments related to the Civil War come down across the city”
And they picked the one that had nothing to do with the civil war?
Like I was expecting these guys to be history buffs anyway...

A Black Lives Matter-aligned organization called Take Em Down Nola stormed New Orleans Andrew Jackson monument demanding all monuments related to the Civil War come down across the city. Andrew Jackson:
Lived: Mar 15, 1767 - Jun 08, 1845 (age 78)
What's missing here? One would think a protest against Civil War Monuments would centralize itself in a place that was connected with it.

How about the Joan of Arc Equestrian statue? She wasn’t Civil War but she once smacked a whore across her rear end with a sword. Don’t whore lives matter?

Take Em Down Nola stormed New Orleans Andrew Jackson monument demanding all monuments related to the Civil War come down across the city. LOL, oh yes, that great Civil War villain, Andrew Jackson. Wasn't he the guy who led the March to the Sea, burning Atlanta along the way? He was advised by the Roman Cicero, and his lieutenant, Hannibal, used his elephants to cross the Smokey Mountains.
Ah, history!

They think they have a magic formula, with the feds not enforcing anti-riot laws: instead of burning our own hoods, let's go out to where whitey lives and works, and disrupt them there.
But at the end, they need to ponder, how much food grows in their zip code? What will they eat when (not if) the EBT system implodes, and the markets are all looted?

Millennials aren't too swift with numbers, you know. Most of them think WWII took place in the 18th century.

How about the Joan of Arc Equestrian statue?Joan of Arc was an abolitionist in the War Between the States, and a great hero at the Alamo.
King Leonides would be a better selection, for it was he that traveled with Lewis and Clark by airplane during the great Californian Platinum Rush of 1612.

Weight Watchers 11 is a strictly-20th-Century program.

So it was peaceful apart from the jumping of barracades, throwing of paint balloons, foul mouthed chanting, and an altercation leading to arrest.

I’m surprised most don’t think it’s the sequel to a video game.

ISIS likes to do this as well.As well as the Taliban. And those are both "terrorist" organizations - just like BLM

One would think a protest against Civil War Monuments would centralize itself in a place that was connected with it.Oh no, you don't understand. To them, anything "related to the Civil War" includes any history prior to about 1960 -- or their last coke snort, whichever came first in their minds. /s

Now you’re just actin’ all crazy trying to fool them with facts. #factsdontmatter. :-)

"the EBT system implodes"I used to think the best way for a hacker to cause mayhem in the US was to commandeer weather satellites to relay false data of a massive impending storm.
Much easier to shut down the EBT system for a week or so. It'd be quite the apocalypse.
