Glenn Beck on Friday voiced sorrow over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) endorsing Donald Trump for the presidency.
[This is] a profoundly sad day for me, he wrote on Facebook. "Disappointment does not begin to describe.
Maybe it is time to go to the mountains for a while, the conservative commentator added. "Again, disappointment doesnt even begin to describe my feelings.
Beck, who supported Cruz over Trump in the GOPs presidential primary, added he feared for the nations future.
America is an idea, not a country, he said. "When we discuss the destruction of our country, that is vastly different than the destruction of an idea. I fear the idea is already lost, due to the panic of losing ones comfort and country.
The founders meant it much differently when they said: join or die. Welcome to the big tent. GOP / DNC 2016 join or die. Long live the idea of the republic.
Cruz earlier Friday endorsed Trump, a stunning reversal after months spent refusing to back the Republican presidential nominee.
Our country is in crisis, he wrote on Facebook. "Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican presidential nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you dont want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.
Cruz refrained from endorsing Trump after their at-times heated GOP presidential primary.
Beck was fiercely critical of Trump during their contest, even suggesting in March no real Christian would back the billionaire.
The radio host predicted in May, however, Trump would ultimately defeat Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee.
What are the odds Kasich will endorse Trump?
CRUZ,LEVIN AND BECK knew in their hearts Trump would never, ever make it and the RNC would turn to Cruz in their time of need...Didn’t happen..Sooooo,Levin starts losing subscribers and he caves,Erick Ericson caves,Cruz needs Trumpers money and votes,he caves....Beck has been failing for long time now and needed Cruz to save his empire...Didn`t happen and by this time next year,Beck will probably be bankrupt...Buuuut,at least he didn’t cave...He can hang on to that precious memory as his empire gets bought off, piece by piece....
Right Glen, you moron, support Johnson or whomever your moron follows want, so elect Clinton so you’ll have something to troll about for years. You idiot, if Clinton is there, you won’t have a website, the “Blaze” anymore, you won’t have a show, in fact. You deserve to be beaten with a cane rod...
Ah yes, the 8-tracks. When they phased them out I thought what in the world is going on. :)
We were from the same generation, I’m just 5 years younger and glad I grew up then.
I was disappointed that Ted Cruz went to pieces during the primaries and really turned out to be a gerbil. However, his Senate campaign stands or falls on what he’s done for Texas.
Bump!
Dad never learned to use a computer. He had a secretary for that sort of thing! However, in his last few years when he had Alzheimers, he liked it when people could pull up video of his favorite old performers. Johnny Cash was his #1.
8 tracks... It was well into the 90’s that I stopped flinching waiting for the “click” on some songs.
Didnt Glenn Beck say that if Trump got the GOP Nomination he would kill himself..well..still waiting..I almost feel sorry for Glenn Beck he is obviously emotionally disturbed, he has serious psychological issues. He worships Ted Cruz, I dont worship ANY candidate, they are just people, but Beck would jump off a building if Cruz told him to
Glenn, I don’t care if you go to the mountains, the shore or someplace in between.
Just get your sorry butt OFF MY RADIO!!
You and some others make mornings MISERABLE.
From 9 am to noon I have a choice between:
urban contemporary music (makes me want to shoot something)
the Johnboy and Billy Big Show (moronic and makes me REALLY want to shoot something)
or you Glenn (GUARANTEES I shoot something)
Mornings just ain’t worth squat anymore.
That’s a great song by John Michael Montgomery and very touching, always liked it.
One of the best “in your face” posts ever. If by chance it could somehow be confirmed that Glenn actually saw your post, my schadenfreude would rise to the level of a religious experience.
I wondered where Glenn Beck was. I thought maybe he was on suicide watch, although heading off to his bunker in the mountains doesn’t sounds so promising.
Anyway, he fails to understand that the “idea” of America will be much harder to achieve, if it can be, after Hillary’s Supreme Court and amnesty.
I was really busy or something in the late 80s/early 90s and missed the transition from vinyl albums to CDs. One day around 1994, I decided I wanted a record, so I went to a music store. I looked around, but there were all these little boxes, so I asked an employee with stupid hair and a ring in his nose, “Where are the record albums?”
He looked blankly at me, and said, “What?” I replied, with gestures, “Those black things, like a dinner plate, that spin round and round.” “Try a used record store,” he replied. “We don’t have any.”
I was only in my mid-20s then, but I felt like Lady Violet Crawley confronted with a gramophone.
Stabby ,the crying Clown,,,
Thought He got Locked up
Dressed in spiked Heels n’ Tutu.
Shuddddddeeeeerrrrr ....
If it was about his girlfriend, it’s drivel, but since it’s about his father it’s timeless.
No! Not Johnny the pig
I know he’s profoundly something, but sad wasn’t the first words to come to my mind.
He should have gone years ago while he still had his money.
And stayed.
