The Reuters polling of the nation as of Thursday shows high confidence in a win by Republican candidate Donald Trump in Vermont.
Reuters did not give a margin for Trumps victory but instead said it has high confidence in a GOP win. According to their polling standards, a state is reported as high confidence for a candidate if they win 95 percent or more of the simulated elections.

Hillary could murder someone on live tv and still carry DC.
I don’t expect any great % of the Black vote, don’t buy the fantasizing. 10% instead of 5% would be nice though. The lower the turnout the better.
I think if you took out Burlington, Montpeiler, Barre, Rutland out of Vermont, you would see a RED STATE...it is — again the cities that screws up a state...
10% is zilch. Absent a Black Dem False Messiah, any halfway-decent Republican candidate can get that. Breaking off 25% to 1/3rd is what Trump needs to seriously aim for: blow a complete hole in the Dems single-greatest stranglehold. The fallout will be epic.
I think you’ll see working class cities in Connecticut like New Britain, Bristol, Meriden and Manchester go for Trump, and who knows, maybe East Hartford could give Trump 40%.
Calling Burlington, Montpelier, Barre and Rutland "cities" is kinda stretching a point, is it not?
ABC calls Trump winner of VT and calls Trump President-elect. Best night ever.
If the Ohio crowds for one of Hillary Clintons top surrogates are any indication, its time to panic.
Bernie Sanders drew only 150 fans at a rally in Akron on Saturday, according to WKSU.
Vermont, like all of the New England states, get screwed by the cities...however, I think the voters in the cities aren’t going to pull the lever for H->, so I think the small towns will flip the states...or make them competitive
Dad told me that...
Also, their "socialism" is heavily grounded at the state level, as opposed to the Federal, which is Constitutionally appropriate.
Vermont is also still an open carry state, I believe.
And, aside from some policy difference such as the Second Amendment, many Vermonters probably despise Hillary with a passion that will never die, because of what the party did to Bernie Sanders on her behalf. Bernie got cheated by the Establishment just like they're trying to do to Trump.
So there's a lot of reasons that I think Trump could win Vermont.
If there is to be a massive Trump wave, Vermont would probably be the kind of state to usher it in. A harbinger, if you will...
Vote Trump!
“In Rhode Island and Maine, two other heavily-Democratic New England states, the GOP nominee was within three of Clinton”
Could very well be a combo of mad Berners & the Stein vote. Just the fact that Trump is even close in these places is a good sign however.
Though I wonder if they’re just trying to bait Trump into spending time & money in these pipedream lib states with low Electoral votes.
You can aim for Jupiter, that doesn’t mean you’ll even break orbit. National polls wouldn’t be tied if Trump was anywhere near that. I have seen zero credible evidence of any major shift in the Black vote. These are the most brainwashed voters in the country, BLM hysteria is rampant. No wishful thinking for me. The hope is Shillery can’t turn them out like Bammy, not that large numbers will actually vote for Trump.
What did Dubya get in 04, 11%? I’d be thrilled with that.

YES!! And lots of kids staying home to spite dems.
I could so not go to bed! I’d be up til dawn!
I would like to believe it’s going to be a walter mondale type blowout, but this is probably poll disinformation from whoever for whatever.
Is Vermont normally a blue state?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Vermont is a very small state. Until recently there were more cows in Vermont than people. Because it was a rural state, Vermont was traditionally Republican but the influx of New Age lefties into the cities of Brattleboro , Montpelier, White River, and Burlington changed the conservative politics
of Vermont , beginning in the early 1980s.
It is possible for Vermont to go Republican, if the left stays home, refusing to vote because “Bernie had the nomination stolen from him.”If Trump sways independents to his cause, then it could happen as predicted.
Curious about your DC prediction. How so? I work there and even the cabbies have liberal radio stations on. Haven’t spoken to anyone in DC yet voting for Mr. Trump. I really hope you’re right.
Well, I read the article and apparently, the Vermont numbers are a subset of a national survey. There were only between 80 to 100 Vermont voters surveyed and because of the low number surveyed, they don’t release the actual percentage. That tells me the survey is less than adequate.
I want him to sweep New York and California, landslide vote for Trump. The Dems can have Illinois.
