Republicans Fuel Drop in Media Trust
While it is clear Americans' trust in the media has been eroding over time, the election campaign may be the reason that it has fallen so sharply this year. With many Republican leaders and conservative pundits saying Hillary Clinton has received overly positive media attention, while Donald Trump has been receiving unfair or negative attention, this may be the prime reason their relatively low trust in the media has evaporated even more. ...

Trust in Mass Media Falls Across Age Groups
Older Americans are more likely than younger Americans to say they trust the media, but trust has declined among both age groups this year. ...
Bottom Line
Before 2004, it was common for a majority of Americans to profess at least some trust in the mass media, but since then, less than half of Americans feel that way. Now, only about a third of the U.S. has any trust in the Fourth Estate, a stunning development for an institution designed to inform the public.

That (Republican, as if) 14% must be the ones voting McCain back into the Senate.
A good portion of them probably voted for Obama twice as well.
Half the population is below average. Less than half the population trusts Big Media. That means even a lot of the dummies have finally figured it out.
However ...
A lot of the democRAT types who don't trust Big Media will tell you that Big Media is a tool of 'the radical right'. I have to wonder what planet those people are on.
LOL! Perfect clip.
Or North Korea. Seems our media is mimicking their media with regards to the great leader ...and 0bama/Hillary/Slick Willy.
The MSM??? Trust??????????....LMAO.
I wouldn’t crap down their throats if they were starving to death.
My, ahem, ‘distrust’ of the American media began, when Peter jennings was on live broadcast, in a near-orgasmic state, in 1975, during the coverage of the fall of Saigon, South Vietnam to the Communist North Vietnamese Army, as their tanks rolled through the streets, while stating what a waste of American lives had occured.
32% complete idiots in this country
I can see why he believed he wouldn’t, when so many of them didn’t despite their blatant dishonesty.
I trust Flint River water, Bernie Madoff investment advice and crack addicted used car salesman more than the lame stream media!
I don't think they believe that at all.
You apparently don’t know any smart ones.
Politicians begone!
Those were heady days for the media, got rid of a President they despised and convinced Americans we were losing a war that we never even lost a battle in. Nixon was crushing the Vietcong with his bombing runs, but then the media saved the day for their communist friends. They have been a fifth column and enemy of the state for 50 years, only now they are close to going under no matter how many billionaires prop them up.
Gee the only group that has a majority that thinks the press is okay is democrats. Wonder why that is?
The U.S. Media makes Pravda green with envy.
#16 Well-stated BUMP!

I trust the mass media to lie to us on a continual basis.
People today can compare the garbage coming from the MSM versus what they can get from the Internet. The MSM has always been untrustworthy.
