The Right remains in haughty, indignant reactive mode to the 24 hour news cycle established by the left. They should be commanding the news cycle by examining what a Clinton Supreme Court will do. Because it is truly scary.
Imagine for a moment, losing your job because you mentioned something negative about Muslim immigration or skepticism of the science of global warming. Don't think it will happen? Think again.
First, let's examine the 1st Amendment. The Left has been signalling for years it's desire to shut down talk radio. And the conservative websites it deems as hate speech. A Clinton controlled Supreme Court would be happy to enact Hate Speech laws which would do both. Governments in Europe are already arresting citizens who post disparaging comments on Facebook which they deem contrary to their hate speech laws. American leftists would love to do the same here, and as we know, close to half the country would applaud.
Second, I used to wonder why Democrats ran Bernie Sanders; unlike Republicans, everything Democrats do is a choreography. Halfway through the primaries, I figured it out. They needed someone to make Hillary look more moderate. But more importantly, they wanted to get the country's reading on a truly socialist platform. And the reception was very heartening to them.
And with a Supreme Court, they can have it. I have absolutely no doubt that a Clinton Supreme Court will enact the Bernie Sanders talking points.
That is, through the Civil Rights Act, it will enact Climate Justice, Social Justice, Economic Justice, Racial Justice, Gender Justice, not to mention the total annihilation of the separation of powers.
Think practically of what these new laws will do. They will provide sweeping new powers to the President to enact a host of redistribution policies, invade and destroy all private property rights, govern speech and action, and introduce a host of agendas you can not even imagine.
Congress will in effect become irrelevant. Your vote will be useless. The job of Congress will be to put lipstick on the socialist pig.
Lest you believe I am a conspiracy nut, consider that if you have been watching the news for the last 2 years, he left has been signalling all of these moves in one form or another.
The depressing fact is the for many Republican corporatists, these laws are Ok with them. They hate conservatives any way.
If I were Trump, I would be exploring this future in speeches. Is this the USA people want?
My question is the same for the NeverTrumpers. I realize Trump is not Jesus, but if you would defeat Trump consider that you are really just attracted to the Armageddon to come. The problem in calling Trump a brownshirt is that when the real brownshirts come, you have nowhere to go. Do you really believe we deserve the painful hell of socialist rule by a 9 person committee? Will that purify our hearts and minds and deliver us some much needed redemption? Shall we wear sackcloth and ashes, and wail for our sins? If you truly are not fascinated by the end of the USA, why are you not fighting it? And make no mistake; if we lose the country to the Supreme Court, you will not be viewed as principled leaders. You will be viewed as suicidal martyrs attempting to bring about the end of the world.
I for one would rather win. The odds are long enough even if we do.
Gosh, you know, I'm starting to wonder. ( Meaning no offense to anybody. )
Exactly.
I'm gonna seriously choke somebody if I see this Election Night 2000 Orwellian newspeak color mislabeling used again. Communists are REDS, not blues. You've already lost the war when you use the LEFT's labeling of OUR side.
Glenn Beck is sure he is a prophet.....too bad he’s wrong so often
I believe their is a large number of people who won’t say they are voting Trump who will anyway.
You are correct if Hillary wins the US becomes Venezuela
Oh nicely pplayed
"Conservatives" don't care if Hillary wins. Her win won't change their elitist lives one little bit.
Do you really think a Hillary win will change Rush Limbaugh's life?
A Trump win on the other hand could turn some "Conservative's" lives upside down.
It would improve his fortune.
Limbaugh is "authorized dissent."
Well, it was the NYT that published a map with these color designations, and it stuck,
Yep. Prior to Election 2000 the major media always slowed GOP states in blue and Rat states in commie red. Dating back decades. Evidently after some media collusion the color designations were switched, and it’s remained that way ever since. At this point most people either don’t know, don’t remember, or don’t care.
Conservatives who actually work for a living, pay taxes and struggle to raise their families are not as complacent as beltway insiders about Hillary being elected.
Conservatives DO understand a Clinton Supreme Court.
Heck, even the pseudo-conservative Establishment GOP #NeverTrumpers probably understand it.
They just don’t care. Because their hurt feelings over their candidate losing outweighs how much they love their children and grandchildren.
Well Said!
I'm still perplexed at when and how that color flip came about. Although really I'm not. It came about when the wanna-be tyrant left decided that *red* wasn't working for them anymore, and so they flipped it around to hide their true agenda. Same with 'Liberal' and 'Progressive' ... the oppressive left co-opted those two terms also.
Heck, *I'm* a liberal, and also a progressive, in the truest sense of the words. The United States Constitution is one of the most liberal and progressive outlines of governance in the history of the world.
Everything about the left is tyranny, oppression, power, and death .. not necessarily in that order, but you get the gist.

We got liberal justices from all Republican presidents, even Reagan.
No guarantee a Trump presidency would produce all conservative justices.
George W Bush gave us John Roberts who gave us Obamacare.
I’m voting for Trump, but will not be stirred by emotional agruments, fear or scare tactics that fly in the face of historical facts.
If our very freedom depends on the outcome of a election, isn't it fair to say we no longer have a republic?
"I for one would rather win." Me too, except I realize that unless our ruling (they don't govern) institutions are reformed via Constitutional amendment, even a Trump presidency will be nothing but a respite, a temporary restraint on our slide into tyranny.
Article V and The Machiavellian Moment. There is little time.
Some people would rather stay standing athwart history yelling Stop, than actually stop it.
Hillary, like all liberals, is a totalitarian thugs.
The Bill of Rights is history.
Brutal oppression is about to become the norm.
I had wondered about this too. They did it right under our noses. Why I don't know unless it was to confuse the public or the leftists didn't want to be associated with Communist red....
Not true. Not true at all.
The incumbent president's party was blue. The challenging party was red.
Gore was Democrat, so he was blue in 2000. Bill Clinton was president.
Bush was red as the challenging party.
There was so much red state/blue state talk after the election that it stuck after that. It's an acciednt of history, not a conspiracy by the NYT.
FR used to be a place where people knew things.
