Twenty percent of African-American voters in Florida support Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump according to a poll released Wednesday by Florida Atlantic University.
The poll hit as Trump is visiting Tampa for a mid-day rally at the State Fairgrounds.
The poll shows Trump with a two point lead of rival Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, 43 to 41 percent, within the poll’s 2.7 percent margin of error. Clinton has the support of 68 percent of African-American voters in Florida. 1200 registered Florida voters were surveyed from August 19-22.

I’ve said all along that Trump is a gamechanger in regards to the black vote. I expect him to get 2-3x the GOP’s typical 8% of the black vote in presidential elections. That’s 16% to 24%, right in line with this poll.
Rudy Giuliani actually won 20% of the black vote the second time he ran for mayor of NYC, but white liberals will never tell you that.
That's what I'm thinking too. If he's getting 20% of the black vote in FL he should be up by 5 or 6.
There are a lot of white liberals in this country. More than seems logical.

Another thing that hits all Americans is massive, uncontrolled immigration, legal or not. If you are a working American the addition of millions of foreign workers drives down wages and demand for goods and services drive up prices. If you are an American who is not working the increase of taxes and the increasing costs of goods and services diminishes your government check and its purchasing power.
The only people who win on immigration is the top 4 to 5% of the wealthiest Americans.
Getting illegal immigration under control is the trick to creating blue collar jobs, and raising wages for them as well, I think.
Will Trump do this? I dunno, but he's the only one who says he will.

If that happens, Hillary will get cut out of the race. Not sure what happens next. Martial law? Kaine taking over the Presidential ticket? Bernie replacing Hillary? Who knows...
But, if Hillary is removed in such a way to generate sympathy - some sort of terminal disease, or Bill vists Ft. Marcy Park - I'd be worried that Dems would take the election.

If Trump is getting 20% of the black vote in Florida, he, Trump, should be ahead in Florida by much more than 2%.
I totally agree.I think Trump will get 30 or even a bit better. The “movement” is spreading rapidly. People are listening. I love that pure Trumpism, “What the hell do you have to lose?” He’s right and the Dem’s know it.

He will not only get a record breaking percent of the black vote, a record number of blacks will just not show up to vote D.
Black voter turn-out for that party will be crushing to say the least.
White voter turn out for the D’s will be crushing.
There is no voter enthusiasm. Obama could draw crowds of thousands (of course packed with union folks, I know), Hillary cannot even fill a gymnasium without bringing in the kids off the practice fields.
She is no longer doing weekend gigs because probably less people want to waste a weekend showing up at a Clinton event (the paid fed and muni-workers get paid to show up on work days).
There is simply no enthusiasm for the Clintons. I don’t care what the internet trolls or the MSM say, and after the debates (if she shows up and it’s not done via “live feed”) that enthusiasm is going to be crushed even more.
The DNC knows that every time she’s on television, her voters lose enthusiasm. People are just sick to death of Clintons and Bush’s.

Not really. If the AA vote is only 12% of the sample, as in line with their % of the population, then a move of 20% is only a swing of 2.4% points or less of the total sample.
Yes its only 2.4% of the sample, but its at least a 2.5% rough swing for Trump as Hillary should have about 90% support... her losing 10% more of the black community is her down 1.2% and trump up 1.2%... meaning by this poll that Trump’s lead is 100% the extra 10% of blacks.. which is not realistic in the least, if he’s got double the traditional support among blacks, he’s got fare more than a 2% lead... the samples are off somewhere to only show a 2 point lead with Trump getting 20% of the black vote.
It’s more likely the composition of the white vote. At 40% Hispanic i would suspect the oversampling is the older age groups in the Southeast of the state, the only real area beside Hillsborough County, that goes Democrat.
