I don’t think “sweet reasonableness” and “fatherly tone” will do anything. There are 3+ months before Nov 8th, and it’s not time for Jim Anderson (Robert Young) in a sweater and bowtie, in front of a fireplace, for a ‘chat’.
Unless the Clinton Organized Crime Family has some serious blackmail ‘stuff’ on Trump, it’s time to ramp it up, minus the negative remarks, and hammer away on Hitlery. It’s not time to play nice-nice like McCain and Romney did, as we all know where that crap got us.
The Clintons won’t be holding back anything, and neither should we. This is a street fight for the future of the country, and if there’s a 2x4 within reach, pick it up and swing for the head.

Ok, I am thinking one of the things Trump may do is pull an Obama-—a half hour prime time special with victims of illegals, workers put out of a job by regulation, then a careful attack on Cankles.
Zero did this with his Obamacare pitch. A network could not refuse.
It's not like he's endorsed Trump! He's been thataway for the past several months. Anti-Trump, anti-Trump supporters and pro-Cruz during the primaries. Now, it's anti-Hillary (not pro-Trump).

– the copy of the US Constitution that Mr. Khan held up was bought only two HOURS before his speech by a female staffer, to be used solely as a prop and Khan returned the book after speaking.
– 5 Gold Star families turned down the opportunity to speak before Khan was contacted by the Clinton campaign.
– All five families were paid $5,000 and signed a non disclosure.
– Khan’s immigration law firm is in debt $1.7M and owes back taxes of upward $850,000 plus penalties.
– CNN paid Khan over $100,000 to tell his “story” and repeated interviews across networks.
– Khan was given a bonus of $175k by the DNC for his effort in the media.
– The IRS has since put Khan’s tax file on a “hold” status.

We might want to toy with the idea of Clint Eastwood doing a documentary of some sort, also. (Does he still have the energy to narrate one. Because while Donald Trump needs to make fatherly speeches on TV--it really is the medium for such, because of the one on one perception, if done right with facial closeups;--it might be better that Donald not host the ISIS horror show.)
The horror show, of course, should start with Hillary for a few seconds pledging to increase the alien flow into the United States. (How many Democratic "Liberals," even, would really want to risk thousands of ISIS sociopaths running amok in America, even to get the benefit--I am being sarcastic--of the actual millions Hillary wants to rush in to permanently change American culture.)
It seems to me that the most important single thing, the next couple of weeks is to keep most of our people calm. We have a psychological arsenal of tactical arrows in our quiver that really can be overwhelming, if our people just keep calm, focused, and not get rattled by the media assault. It will get old very quickly if we just wait till we can see the whites of their eyes as it were.

Ok Rush staffers, get on this and get Rush’s attention! And I dearly hope that Trump has his people verify it and he mentions it soon!
There are people out there who respond to different appeals. What is your problem with that? And there are not 3+ months any more--nor do we need more time than we have to blast our foes effectively, at the same time that we fatherly reach out to the millions of betrayed & misled victims of those foes.
Forgive my harsh tone; but we dare not make the mistake that you appear to be urging. One size does not fit all; the very idea, itself, is contrary to the now four century old American experience.

One of the things I’ve been doing in my spare time, is reading the leaked emails between DNC staff/Hillary, and Hillary’s leaked emails to her staff & advisers.
I wonder if those who claim to be on our side, have ever read any of the communications. They’re snide, insulting, obnoxious, demeaning - towards ALL Republicans, and even some of their own.
Completely disrespectful! So people like McCain, Gramnesty, the nevertrump crowd — who support Hillary by not supporting Trump — are in the bag with these people, and are co/signing their vitriol, even about themselves.
They are not nice people, and nobody on our side, should be agreeing with them about anything.
Why does Rush keep calling MSM employees reporters? They are aging campus radical, psycho spoiled brats working as employees of the MSM (aka, drive-by media).
