Early African-American intellectuals and cultural elites saw that the future of their race could not be advanced by endless protests or marches of “equality” or “justice.” It could only be done through the restoration of the trampled dignity of the black man. Great men like Marcus Garvey, W. E. B. Du Bois, and Malcolm X all knew that a people is only respected when it has a nation worthy of respect. A man who lives in a shack cannot expect to be treated with respect at a palace. They knew that for us to reclaim power we must first reclaim dignity and that this comes through the construction of a solid black state with a demonstrable level of development and prosperity–and which can stand as a powerful advocate for the global black.
Today, no such state exists.
Nigeria, the most populous black nation on Earth, is on the brink of collapse. The machineries that make a nation exist, let alone succeed, have all eroded. One might argue that the nation’s creation by self-seeking white imperialists engendered its failure from the beginning, as I did in my recent novel. But this is only a part of the cause. A culture of incompetence, endemic corruption, dignified ineptitude, and, chief among all, destructive selfishness and greed has played a major role in its unravelling. The same, sadly, can be said for most other African nations. States like Zimbabwe, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea are farcical democracies ruled by men who exclusively cater to their interests and those of their clipped circles.
Thus, it is no surprise that in the absence of any healthy black nation–in the midst of chaos, senseless wars, corrupted religiosity, violence, and economic collapse–African and Caribbean people leave home en masse.

The average IQ of a native African is 80-85. Someone with a college education is rare and most make corrupt leaders.

There are some simple litmus tests. Can a group of people build and run a modern city? Can they even maintain one if they take it over?
Just compare Singapore to Lago, for example.

I’d like to make a comparison to when poor people suddenly come into real wealth, like winning the lottery or whatever, then squander it because they don’t have the skills or experience to maintain and grow that wealth. Seeing as it’s a minefield where one inarticulate word or phrase can blow me up, I’ll leave it as a vaguery and let each individual reader finish the thought in his/her own way. You get the basic point.

This discussion has come up at my house. Finding a country was hopeless. We started trying to find cities. Other than Atlanta we weren’t able to come up with one. Even that may be dubious if it depends on wealth transfers from others.

According to Stefan Molyneux, Democratic Republicanism is impossible if median IQ is 90 or lower. The “sweet spot” for criminality and violence is 85.
The Democrat strategy, abetted by the Catholic bishops, is to import a new population who will vote socialist and pro-abortion. The Republic cannot exist as the median IQ drops.
Since it is VERBOTEN to discuss IQ, all economic and academic inequality must be blamed on the racism of whites. This is why, as white racism has disappeared, accusations of racism have exploded.
The U.S. is a doomed banana republic. We just hide it better under mountains of unpayable debt & financial obligations, the illusion of competing political parties, and the continual erosion of basic freedoms and rights.

If a professional builder builds a house, does a buyer who does no maintenance get credit for the fact it hasn’t quite fallen down yet?
To be far, the boundaries of many African nations were drawn by the colonial powers with little regard for friction between tribes, etc.
Imagine a Baltic nation established in, say, 1700 that was 1/3 Prussian, 1/3 Polish, and 1/3 Russian. Such a nation would be constant turmoil, and would have difficulty stabilizing itself.
Yes, I know that’s not the whole problem, but it does play a part.

Botswana isn’t a great short-term success story like some of the former Eastern Bloc nations, but it has had a stable democracy since 1966 (when it became an independent nation) and is steadily increasing it’s economic capabilities. AIDS has hit the country hard, but the government has taken solid steps to slow down the spread of AIDS and has made significant progress. Botswana has very low corruption, especially for an African nation, and has many reasons to be proud of it’s efforts.
While most nations in Africa are rife with corruption, tribalism, communism, Islamic influences, and a culture that punishes success, there are nations like Botswana which are truly “developing nations”.
