If you’re ever involved in something like this - you hit someone but believe your life in danger if you stay - you are legally allowed to leave the scene and drive to the nearest police station to report the accident.
Usually you have to stay, but there are exceptions. People shooting at you = an exception.

Just as I suspected. It’s a common sight here in Baltimore. People (both black AND white, although admittedly more black) just cross the street, whenever they want, at whatever speed they feel necessary (usually slow, because apparently they are under the mistaken impression “the pedestrian always has the right of way”) and even are sometimes like this guy was: even STOPPING, in the MIDDLE of the street, when they can SEE a car coming towards them. It’s almost as if they are daring the car to hit them!
I’m sorry the guy got injured but I have little sympathy to offer him. Notice to all dim-wits reading: pedestrians do NOT have the right of way all the time, especially when crossing busy streets like this and absolutely especially when they aren’t even IN A CROSSWALK (like this guy wasn’t).
Of course the poor woman was shot at too; of course because these are the same types of people who have an entitlement mentality that dictates the world must stop for them. I’m hopeful the woman faces zero charges. (She shouldn’t bother trying to get money for the repair of her car though good luck getting any money out of the low-lifes that shot at her).
