There was a time when people like Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, and Erick Erickson were powerful voices within the Conservative movement. That was BT or Before Trump, when most American Conservatives were asleep at the wheel and operating on status quo neo-conservative autopilot, completely unaware that the maverick radio voices we hailed as rebels, were actually globalist shills-for-hire.
The silent majority was silent because we were napping, however, Trump has awakened the slumbering giant and were hip to the globalist trick played upon us by so-called radio conservatives, politicians, media, and pundits, who subtly pepper falsehoods like, amnesty is good, trade is fine, debt is just part of life, and nation building is patriotic throughout their schtick.
Yes, the slumber is over and the alt right is gleefully humming a tune commonly blasted at Trump rallies.
Were not gonna take it .Anymore.
One result of this awakening, is the downfall of several once powerful radio voices men whose egos are so immense and selfish that the very essence of their global schtick TRUMPED ethics, honesty, and common sense.
They all have one thing in common they each made the same mistake on the way to Irrelvence Island.
They joined NeverTrump.
Glenn Beck
Crazy Glenn Beck spent over half a million of his own dollars to try and get Ted Cruz elected. However, in the end all the money, fasting, and nazi-namecalling added up to a big fat zero. Cruz failed, NeverTrump never mattered, and Becks media empire crumbled (like a plate of crushed Cheetos).
Ben Shapiro
Once revered as the future voice of conservatism, Ben Shapiro was a beacon of hope within the conservative movement. However, everything changed for Ben when he decided to go NeverTrump and throw his career out the window to defend proven liar, Michelle Fields (see stories here, here, and here).
Erick Erickson
The moment Erick Erickson started bashing Trump two things happened. Firstly, he started resembling a thumb and secondly his career fell apart. Erickson went from being hailed as a powerful voice of conservatism to huffing and puffing all over Twitter, bitching about Trump with fellow NeverTrump dropkick Rick Wilson (another talentless hack who looks like a thumb).
Mark Levin
During the GOP primary we discovered that Mark Levin will support anyone as long as they promise to buy his dumb books. Levin went on a screaming-mimmy tirade for the last 3 months of Ted Cruzs race to loserville, bashing Trump and proudly stating he was NeverTrump. Since then, Levins ratings have tanked.
Hugh Hewitt
Hugh Hewit looks like a cross between Phil Donahue, George McFly, and Justin Bieber. His claim to fame was trying to trip Tump up with a gotcha question about some preposterously unknown faction of the Iraqi Army. Since then hes spent his time on the radio looking for ways to help Hillary and losing listeners.
Honorable mentions go to Rush Limbaugh and Dana Loesch. Rush has never gone full dumbo and declared himself NeverTrump, although his actions have us wondering. On the other hand, dopey Dana claims shes not a NeverTrumper (she is) however, she warns us that mean Trump supporters may push her there.
Its odd, and eye opening, that so many who claim to be conservative after they become wildly successful..reveal themselves to be something other than conservative...?
In a weird way it reminds me of TV Land which became very successful being a family friendly network... and then all of a sudden went raunchy. Not surprisingly its popularity nose dived. It still around but it will never be near as popular as it once was.
Same with all these radio talk show host who will be around but never close to as popular as they once were.
Erickson takes great pleasure in trumpeting any bit of bad news on the trump campaign and then in the next breath says he would never want Hillary as President. He thinks his listeners are idiots. I look forward to the day he is gone from Atlanta radio.
The most malignant of the bunch has to be Steve Deace. He was convinced that Holy Ted was going to usher in a Calvinist theocracy, and he has spent about 90% of his show, for months and months, painting Trump as a lying, thieving, whoring reprobate.
The moment Deace has planted a doubt in my mind, he comes out with one of Holy Ted’s lies: Donald likes Obamacare. Donald calls for violence at all his rallies. Donald mocked the disability if a reporter. Etc., etc., etc.
Bill Kristol, Greg Guttfeld, Dana Perino, and Krauthammer are also in that group to me.
Dead as a voice of reason. They worship globalism over Americanism, and swear allegiance to the uni-party.
Hi AuntB,
How are things up your way? Hewitt was a PBS hire in the 90’s. He started on a TV show opposite a liberal whose name escapes me. Then he was on local talk radio on his own show which was often intelligent and pro-American. However, he is a bland type and with a high opinion of his intellect. His guests can be top notch, but he’s a bore.
T.W.
Agree I was trying to get the annoying arguer off my case. I think it worked for now.
Rush was mocking Trump supporters pre Cruz bail. Had a nasty name calling thing going on. It was inexplicable. It was alienating. He is not recovering from it. He had an animosity that others have. It clouds the vision. How could Rush NOT have anticipated a Trump nomination? He counted on a failure
Worse, how could Rush not see Cruz or anyone except Trump being slaughtered by Hillary? Does anyone with sense think the media would not be mauling any nominee now? Do they think any nominee but Trump wouldn’t be grove long in loser apologies right now?
It’s hard to watch Rush losing it. And Levin. But that’s what we’re seeing.
That's for sure.
Right on!
I love this article
Hugs to whoever wrote it
Really, it’s no accident that all the NeverTrumpers were always anti-birthers. They have been corrupt forever.
Jones, Savage, Boyles. Birthers AND Trumpers.
Rush is unlistenable. He sometimes talks, between long, hideous, guttural uuuhhhs.
That is disappointing.
Loesch is the hot brunette. She is sharp as a whip and a fearless defender of the second amendment.
And, did I mentions hot?
Hewitt has been a Rino forever. He and Medved were Democrat lapdogs in the W Bush administration. They fought with us more than their opponents.
But Levin I’m a little surprised at. His show was boring. He would read Heritage Foundation stuff and mail in his second and third hours after screaming his lungs out in the first. But I didn’t think he would throw in to help Hillary.
You’re right. He did sign. But he had better pull himself together. Trump might win this then what will Rush do? He won’t be able to claim having helped him. He won’t be a supporter. He’ll be in the boat with the other ‘conservatives who bet against Trump
The time for any humble re-set is now, while Trump is struggling against the media, not after the election. If these guys are betting on a Hillary victory, they’ll be despised by their listeners if she wins, for having assisted her. But they’ll have nothing to talk about if Trump wins. They’ll be out of the winners circle forever. No one (especially Trump) will give them the time of day. And signing a four yr contract to lose listeners by the droves to Laura, kuhner, Hannity, even Savage? What an epic unwise move
True. Who decided these people were "conservative"?

BS,BS,BS!
Levin, to his credit, occasionally goes after the Witch for a little bit, before going back to his bread&butter theme of bashing Trump....(to help the DNC)
I have no idea how Ben Shapiro was every considered a future star in the conservative movement.
While I find him to be intelligent, his presentation is absolutely awful. He’s the smartest kid in the sixth grade, and nobody liked that kid then and nobody likes that kid now.
I had the same issue with Ted Cruz.
They have all formed a SuperPAC for Gary Johnson.
