Republican nominee Donald J. Trump holds a 4-point lead over Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton in the critical state of Virginia and just outside the margin of error, a new RABA Research poll shows.
Among the poll of 655 likely voters in Virginia, Trump holds a 46%-42% lead over Clinton, despite her pick of Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her vice presidential running mate.
Voters are split on Kaine, with 40% of respondents saying they are more likely to vote for Clinton based on the pick, versus 34% who are less likely to support her and 26% stating it makes no difference.

The democrats have only won close elections in Virginia. But voter id requirement just became law in the state. This means that democrats won’t be able to bus in people from DC and Maryland any more. Northern Virginia won’t be as blue as it was in the past.

Wishful thinking but It would be refreshing to see Kaine have a tinge of conscience and back out of the deal, citing being sold a bill of goods on Hillary that don’t jive with the facts.
Eliminate third party candidates to help Hillary.

True, liberal heads will explode if Trump wins VA! Another state Trump may win that I’ve not heard people talk about is West Virginia. Lots of rural, blue collar, and coal people there.

What 270towin.com are you looking at? Poll-based is 247 - 105 Hillary. Pundit based is 233 - 191 Hillary.

Trump is getting only 64% of the GOP vote and Hillary has 84% of the Democratic vote?

Note the breakdown does not list Independents, among whom Trump is leading.
