Myth-busting website Snopes flagrantly lied about the lack of visible American flags on the first day of the Democratic Convention, claiming an image from the second day of the convention was actually from the first day in an attempt to debunk a factual story from The Daily Caller.
First, the facts. TheDC reported on Monday about the lack of visible American flags at day one of the convention. Several flags were briefly on stage for the national anthem and pledge of allegiance, at which point they were carried off stage, as the C-SPAN video for Monday clearly shows at the 35:40 mark. Even PolitiFact, which tends to lean to the left, noted that when the color guard left, so did the physical flag. After that point, the stage was devoid of any American flags for the remainder of day one.
As reported by TheDC, the DNC added flags to the stage for the second day of the convention Tuesday, July 26. That same day, Snopes writer Dan Evon wrote a fact-check article declaring it false that: No American flags were on display at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

I haven’t watched a minute of the DNC this year.
However, reading about what is happening around it, in it and on the internet re Clintoon’s emails, makes it the best DNC ever for me.

Of course they LIE!
They are LIEberals, after all!
And, what LIEberals do is LIE!
Not only that, they’re here in Santa Monica. Husband and wife retard team. They just make sh*t up to cover their lyin asses like Hitlery..
My dad has used Snopes on me about Hillary recently. Of course those dastardly conservative Republicans make up all these lies. I wonder what he thinks of the commie Betnie supporters who think Ms. Clinton should go to jail. Probably hasn’t heard anything since the media, oops I mean the Democrat party hides the truth.
SNOPES is a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT cover organization designed to influence belief in a direction that favors the LIBERAL agenda.
There is a website called Politifact Bias as well which corrects errors on Politifact.
I’ve seen several times where Snopes declares something “mostly false”, just because one cited statistic in a story or statement is off a bit, but all the other stats are correct. Sometimes they’ll run a rather lengthy paragraph, label it “mostly false” based on one sentence being an exaggeration or something.
Snopes should be ignored, and not used by those on our side.
This cannot be bumped enough...Even today a Freeper put up a Snopes “fact check” claiming it was valid...
Snopes is bogus left-leaning Soros-funded website!
bert fact check: there are flags there almost obscured by the panel dividers.
There are there but not there
Half ass is what they are
Quis custodiet ipsos cusodes?
It may be true that they captioned a picture of day two as a picture of day one, but that doesn't affect the validity of their claim.
This is a distraction and will make conservatives look silly if people bother to research it themselves.
We’ve caught the Mikkelsons in oh, so many lies, like the Clintons, like 0bama, like Chief Wannabe....
The fact is, the Mikkelsons are full of it!
No argument there but this story isn't really a good example of that.

Folks, I believe Snopes used to be a fairly decent site. But I looked at them recently. They are pretty much in the tank for the statists.
I looked up Hillary Clinton on the site...seems EVERY STORY about her ended up being a defense/vindication/apology for the Crook.
Jim, I know Snopes.com is still on the front page of FR as a link. Your site, your rules....but I want to just suggest purging it until it becomes a little more objective. :)
