PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – City officials are urging residents and Democratic National Convention demonstrators to take caution because of potential strong storms and the possibility of flash floods throughout the region today.

The flash flood watch begins at 2 p.m. and continues through Friday at 7 p.m.

Is it time to pull out our psalmbook from our Bible & say, "God, apply to Philly tonight?" Over 1/5th of the Psalms from the Old Testament focus on appealing to God about our world's enemies...(& 1/4th of the first 129 Psalms do!)

...About 40% of these enemy-focused Psalms are labeled "Imprecatory Psalms" (Ps. 5, 10, 17, 35, 58, 59, 69, 70, 79, 83, 109, 129, 137, 140) ... where God is appealed to re: dealing justly with enemies.

Well, here in WV we've already had the floods...with more predicted this evening. The 17 year cicadas hatched this June and the trees look terrible, especially the oak and chestnut. Maybe a plague of frogs will be what we need after tonights round of storms to take care of the coming skeeters.
