Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine has emerged as the clear favorite a day before Hillary Clinton is expected to announce her running mate.
Clinton confidants and allies believe Kaine is the leading contender. And some top allies have recommended that Clinton pick the Virginia Democrat.

Makes sense, considering that Clintonista McAuliffe gets to appoint his replacement.
Has Chelsea moved to VA yet?

Tim Kaine is one certifiable kook. He thought Russia and Georgia stopped fighting at Obama’s request.
Get out the butterfly nets now.

Is he up in the Senate? Would this mean a possible seat pickup? Or would he still have time once they lose?

As much as I didn’t vote the guy, it’s a good choice. He was an adequate governor.

Attempting to put up a firewall for VA elector votes (50/47 Obama over Romney) They are desperate if they do this move.

Great. Another “Catholic” who is opposed to abortion “personally”, but fights for the right of every American woman to have an abortion almost up until the moment of birth.

Doesn't matter who she picks. They'll be the new Edmund Muskie.
Simply a name in the history books.

“adequate” in the sense that he didn’t send us further down the “rat” hole. Didn’t he have a republican majority state senate/house of delegates to keep him in check? My poor memory doesn’t go back that far.....
