CLEVELAND (CBSNewYork/AP) — Police arrested 17 people Wednesday after a melee broke out during a flag-burning in the streets outside the Republican National Convention.(snip)
Among those arrested was Gregory “Joey” Johnson, whose torching of the flag at a GOP convention three decades ago led to the landmark 1989 U.S. Supreme Court decision that said flag-burning is speech protected by the First Amendment.
Moments after the flag was set on fire, officers charged in to put it out with an extinguishing spray that some in the crowd thought was pepper spray because of similarities in the design of the canisters and the eye irritation caused by the fire-suppression substance.(snip)
“You’re on fire! You’re on fire, stupid!” a Cleveland officer shouted at a protester while firing the extinguishing spray.

Watching this this morning I thought they were pepper spraying them but it was a fire extinguisher LOL There was about 1 cop and 5 Photographers for every one protestor. Its funny their leftist demonstrations are not panning out.

Love that the Procurement Department in the local cop organization had to get the fire extinguisher trade-named “Tactical”, in black container. Every fire extinguisher I’ve ever seen is in a red container, but that isn’t SWAT chic.
Shame that those procurement folks were on vacation when stocking up for the Clinton administration strike on the Branch Davidians.
Yeah, it's getting absurd. I watched another video of a mildly violent police action and standing around were hundreds of idiots with their hands in the air holding onto a phone. These clowns are so vulnerable that one guy could take a bunch of them out with a knife. They are so willing to get near the action for that one video they exposing themselves to grave danger.
