Donald Trump's campaign reached out to John Kasich in May with an offer to make him the "most powerful vice president in history," the New York Times reported Tuesday.
Trump's oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., reached out to a Kasich advisor after the Ohio governor ended his own presidential campaign, promising that if he accepted the vice presidency, Kasich would be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.
The advisor asked what Trump would be in charge of, the report said, and Trump Jr. responded: "Making America great again."

If true it just proves that Kasich is even more STOOOOPID than we all thought. Turn that down? Why??
That would have been hard to do, considering that Dick Cheney basically was President for eight years.
This is total BS from the Hill
Because this fool doesn’t agree with Trump’s stance on immigration and wants more for Ohio even if they could be future terrorists.
Ego conflict maybe. Trump might want to do it “This way” and Kasich might want to do it “That way or the highway.” Trump will deal, but he won’t beat his head on an utterly unyielding brick wall, nor will he be an utterly capitulating mush.
Kasich is a nothing burger and irrelevant.
Is he wanting it because businesses are wanting it or because it will attract money from Washington or some combination
Pence’s big day today. So Kasich dumps a big you know what in the punch bowl.
Kasich turned down the VP slot uh huh sure he did.
I don’t believe it, although Roger Stone floated the idea on Twitter a few months ago.
Yeah, just go and read the posted comments and it leaves you with the continuing notion that in the main, voters in this country all have an anal cranial inversion.
This is based on garbage from the NYTimes that relies on an unnamed source from the Kasich campaign.
Soros marionette. If true glad he took the advise of his globalist masters.
If true, this would have to be right up there with Rubio’s decision to be part of the gang of 8 as one of the dumbest political moves of all time.
Probably wants it more for the cheaper labor, which if that’s what republicans stand for, then I need a new party.
What source does the Hill say the "Report" came from.....propaganda from the Crooked Clinton Camp (CCC) more than likely.
