Over the weekend, The Daily Wire had the opportunity to speak with Kendal Unruh, a member of the Colorado Republican delegation to the Republican National Convention. Unruh is also a member of the Rules Committee at the RNC, and a leading advocate for a vote that would unbind the delegates from the candidates to which their state primaries are pledged.
Unruh explained that "28 committee members are required to pass a minority report, which then goes to the convention floor for all delegates to vote on. It then requires a simple majority to pass." She added that she does "have the 28 votes required for the minority report," continuing, "Not everyone who is with us is willing to be public yet, due in part to the threats being made by Trump's campaign and the RNC itself."

Yup, and the fact that Cruz remains silent about what his supporters are doing on his behalf means that Trump should not trust Cruz with even one inch of slack.... never mind with a speaking slot at the convention.
Cruz could shut down all this b.s. right now with one firm public declaratory sentence. The fact that he permits these machinations to proceed says all we need to know about his character and his value to the real cause.

Unfortunately, if they get the 28 votes then they ARE that powerful. Cruz signed a pledge, too, and we don’t see him taking any step to assure the delegates that he will support Trump as nominee.
LOL
I predict Cruz WILL shut this nonsense down at the convention.
I hope I am right.

Yep, you have that ace-in-the-hole, clinton.
Precisely. Many here, not you, still don’t seem to understand—the Cruz nevertrumpers don’t care about winning with a lame candidate. All they care about is stopping Trump and handing the WH to Clinton.
The irony is that these self-styled “true conservatives” claim they should be able to do this because Trump isn’t a real conservative.
And they manage to keep a straight face when making this ‘argument’although it is as risible as Clinton now claiming she did nothing wrong. It’s enough to make a crow blush.
Unruh. Any relation to Jessie Unruh the DemocRAT?

This picture of Kendal Unruh in your post #23 reminds me of a delusional and frantic woman.
Authoritarian Banana Republic supporters belong in the Democrat Party with their Patron Saint Hillary.
I wish there had been a “Burning Eyeball” alert.
I was wondering too. Reagan beat Unruh when he ran for reelection to gov in 1970.

The republican party is not immune to self-destruction. Look at congress and Romney.
Many disagree with your take including the Founder of this site.
Cruz had Jeff Roe running his awful campaign and Roe was most assuredly thieving candidates everywhere he could in the hopes that Trump wouldn’t get 1237 and a 2nd ballot would go Cruz or stop Trump.
As for me last year, I was one of Cruz’ strongest supporters and defenders. Coming into this year, I was ashamed I ever donated to the guy.
Two words are all that anyone needs to know about Cruz: “Neil Bush”
And then this happened...
Kendall Unruh appears to be not smart enough OR not honest enough to be involved in the political process.
