Trump said he'd go after Clinton like nobody else could or would. But his attacks have been low-energy and ineffective. One of his selling points, which he reiterated frequently, was that he alone had the cojones to go after Hillary Clinton. He promised he would.
Amid a flurry of more exciting tweets and speech moments, he has continually critiqued her judgment, energy level, campaign ability, and character. Hes tested out insults, landing on Crooked Hillary as his choice.
In June, he promised hed ramp up attacks against her. He spent weeks saying hed go after her, finally doing so toward the end of June. It was fine but didnt really land a punch. Politico said the teleprompter-delivered speech was subtler and more conventional than his other campaign rhetoric.
------------------------------------------------- ...the last two weeks would have been an absolute gift from the electoral gods. A sober and well-documented report linked Hillary to the failings and deaths in Libya. It showed how she had made the bombing and destabilization of Libya central to her State Department tenure, making her unable to follow other international groups who protected their workers there by removing them. Suggesting she didnt want to admit defeat of something her advisors planned to make a centerpiece of her upcoming presidential campaign, she resisted repeated recommendations to pull Americans from Benghazi.
As for corrupt email practices, recent days saw Bill Clinton secretly meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on a tarmac, Hillary suggesting shed keep Lynch as AG after her election, Hillary meeting with FBI agents investigating the scandal, leaks to CNN just hours after that meeting saying shed get away with everything, and a 10-minute denunciation by the FBI director of everything Hillary had claimed about the email scandal. It reeked to high heaven of corruption.

Trumps statement on Dallas today was heartfelt and very Presidential. Hes doing fine.
I’d guess right after dealing with some crappy republicans.
Yes, they do that on the radio too. I suppose Donald’s best way to counter that is to make his own ads and conduct more interviews. I don’t know if he’s decided to spend the money for ads yet. Better think about it.
Somebody wasn’t listening to Trump’s speech about a week or so ago.
There is plenty of time to go after her once they’re both the official nominees. Attack too early and it gives her time to rehabilitate herself. When the Reverend Wright stuff came out about Obama, even a lot of Dems were shocked and turning away from him. But the info came out too early and people were able to rationalize it away.
After she secures the nomination.
Comey may have done Trump a favor. He verified the crooked moniker and prevented a less flawed candidate replacing her at the convention.
What you said is so obviously true. In fact, he was already attacking her more harshly and vigorously than McCain or Romney ever went after Obama by late December when he first hit her as an enabler of sexual misconduct. (At the time even Cruz, who certainly would have gone after her more than Kasich, said that he would never attack Hillary on that subject.)
Since then Trump has made many hard-hitting attacks against her:
-he insisted that she was responsible for the deaths of millions of people via her disastrous policies as Secretary of State,
-he said several times that shes putting the nation at risk by wanting to increase Syrian refugees by 500%,
-hes repeatedly alleged that she has sold out the US to foreign countries who donate to her foundation or pay Bill huge fees for speeches,
-hes insisted that shes bought and controlled by Wall St. interests and questioned why she hasnt released her Wall St. speeches,
-hes attacked her many, many times on the email issue and pronounced her guilty as hell on several occasions over the course of months,
-hes brought up numerous of her old scandals from the 1990s and other times, including broaching the subject of Vince Fosters controversial death,
-hes criticized her for trying to get people to vote for her just because shes a woman,
-he reminds people that even lefty Bernie said she has bad judgment,
-he accused her of trying to bribe the Attorney General,
-since it occurred, at least three times hes ridiculed Bill Clintons sketchy meeting with the AG,
-hes reminded people at various times that when the 3am call came in regard to Benghazi, she didnt take it,
-hes questioned whether shes healthy enough for the job, among several other attacks.
For goodness sake, what the heck else do the RINOs at the Federalist want him to attack her on? Hes covered the bases pretty darn thoroughly, though Im sure hell manage to find even more. When you really look at the evidence, this article is simply factually incorrect propaganda by NeverTrump sympathizers. Thats all.
in one of his speeches he documented the clinton corruption. These guys, like a lot of people writing about trump never heard a speech or looked at his policies on his website.
There’s no hurry...
“Wake me up when Mollie Hemingway beats 16 Republican challengers for the nomination...”
Awesome.
(She has a name like a Fraggle.)
Yes, timing is everything. It is summer and most people are not paying close attention to politics. That will change in the coming weeks. Right now its vacation season.
Nobody pays attention in the summer.
No need to go full throttle before September.
8 years ago NC elected a D governor who skipped the debate.
The R candidate and a Libertarian had a friendly debate.
What tool does Trump have other than rhetoric? Not that he needs it. Hillary has so soiled herself with prevarication and bitchiness she does not need Trump’s help to fail.
3?
