We've become a nation of nervous-nellies and pansies.
Yup, and not publicized.
A dumb move for Trump? Showing weakness? You have no idea if local law enforcement told Trump they had received threats of another mass cop killing but this time at a Trump rally to make their statement.
All this is possible. And even if not the case, regardless, this was a smart move.
I did not take it to be criticism. Nor was my response intended to be criticism. I took yours to be friendly well intended advice. As I intended mine to be.
It’s politics and optics are important. You never want to give your enemy ammunition.
Like the man said, it’s not personal, it’s business.
Who canceled first, is the real question?
My guess is it was Donald. I’m glad he’s letting a few hours pass before making any grand or sweeping statements about the incident. Although, I will say, Ted Cruz made a very nice and very short statement earlier today. Unlike with Obama, Ted didn’t use the word ‘I’ even once.
The suspect said he was not affiliated with any group, and he stated that he did this alone.
I am 100% sure the above is a LIE.
Is this woman showing other signs of psychosis?
You have a Afghan Hound?
No problem here. I just thought the pronouncement of Slick’s impending demise was a bit questionable. Only the good die young.
Trump canceled his rally.
Last night in Dallas, 5 police officers were murdered. Another 7 were injured. It is called respect. The same reason Bush quit golfing while our troops were being slaughtered overseas. Our Country is not use to somebody acting presidential. It’s been a long time. On the other hand, Obama is in Poland and we will probably see him dance the polka.
oh he did indeed on his Facebook post.....still waiting for hillary
It’s simple respect, that’s all.
Here’s what Mr. Trump had to say:
“Last nights horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers five of whom were killed and seven wounded- is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe.
We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street.
The senseless, tragic deaths of two people in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.
This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day.
Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like theyve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isnt the American Dream we all want for our children.
This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.”
