Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Saturday with the FBI, a source close to the investigation into her private email server tells The Daily Caller.
The source went on to suggest the interview may take place at her Washington, D.C. home.
The bureaus interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is believed to be the final step in its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified information on Clintons private email server.
Hundreds of now-classified documents some of them Top Secret were sent and received through Clintons private server, which she housed at her New York residence during her tenure at the State Department.
FBI investigators have already interviewed several Clinton aides, including her former chief of staff Cheryl Mills and her deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin. Investigators have also interviewed Bryan Pagliano, the former State Department information technology specialist who maintained Clintons server. The Justice Department gave Pagliano limited immunity in exchange for his cooperation in the probe.
Scheduling the meeting on a holiday weekend will likely help with logistical issues for both the FBI and the Clinton campaign.
Clinton has no campaign events listed on her schedule which means that she will not be tailed by the usual pack of campaign reporters. The FBI has sought to avoid drawing attention to its probe by bringing in witnesses in secret. That strategy has been successful, as reports of the meetings have only come out after they were held.
Past interviews with Clinton probe witnesses have reportedly been conducted by FBI agents, lawyers with the Justice Departments National Security division and prosecutors from the U.S. Attorneys Office in Alexandria, Va.
The politician has not been asked in several weeks whether she had scheduled an interview with the government.

I predict she takes the 5th. The wheels are coming off.
Where’s Harry Truman when we need him?
They really took a crazy risk meeting at the airport. Nobody with any brains (leaves out libs who still love Obama and Hillary) believes that lie of a cover story. It’s even more preposterous than the YouTube video causing 9/11/12 in Benghazi, Libya.
They definitely and desperately needed to meet in a secure location that couldn’t be recorded.
That alone shows how insane this whole thing is. /preaching to the choir
At that time, Clinton was in deep shiite as someone (Donna Shalala, I think) in his admin said we didn't send our best and brightest to Vietnam.
All news outlet were consumed with it and his already poor ratings were plummeting.
Then McVeigh did the dirty deed, Clinton blamed it on talk radio and the militias. The rest is history.
If only the FBI had a listening device installed for the Lynch/Clinton meeting and then sprung the trap .,.
ha in my dream Comey is there in person, plays absolute hardball with the witch, outlines a long list of charges and says “what do you have to say before we indict you, your staff, Bill and Chelsea, and close down the criminal Clinton Crime Foundation”?????
We have seen this all before.
A leak (usually from the Clinton camp) put out a rumor that it looks really bad for the Clinton and then it turns out to be a big nothing burger.
I hope I am wrong
Sounds like pretty good speculation. Wait for the official denials to confirm it.
Why was the FBI there is the question,
Ho-hum.
As Rush said today...and I’ve been saying for years...she’ll never face the music on any of her offenses. Ever.
Right. But whom does this curious timing most benefit? Most Americans will be at the beach or barbecuing. Who is going to pay attention tomorrow?
No one. That’s the point.
Scenario where she faces the music:
- She starts to implode and her campaign takes a nosedive, Trump WAY ahead.
- DNC panics and decides to try for Obama for a third term (”Who gives a sh*t about the Constitution?”)
- In order to appear electable, Obama sh*tcans Hillary.
That would be next: the prosecutor presents the evidence to a grand jury, and they vote. The standard is supposed to be whether there is enough evidence that a crime MAY have been committed.
The target of the indictment may or may not testify before the grand jury. It's really up to the prosecutor, and of course the target can decline to testify.
That's what I remember too. Clinton was toast until McVeigh rescued him. He was toast again when flight 800 got shot down, and then he ordered a coverup.
Lucky and Evil all at the same time.
Will her lawyer be there?
Thank you Madam Secretary, that's enough for us and have a nice day.
