Four hours after three suicide bombers killed at least 41 people and wounded hundreds more at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, CIA Director John Brennan said the attacks bore the grim hallmarks of ISIS and warned that the fanatically violent Islamic terrorist group wants to conduct similar large-scale attacks in the United States.
“I am worried from the standpoint of an intelligence professional who looks at the capabilities of Daesh … and their determination to kill as many as people as possible and to carry out attacks abroad,” Brennan said in an exclusive interview at CIA headquarters with Yahoo News. Brennan credited effective homeland security measures and intelligence for the fact that ISIS has been unable to attack America directly — the Orlando and San Bernardino shootings were carried out by radicals inspired by ISIS but not under its control — but he believes the group will keep trying to penetrate American defenses.
“You look at what happened in the Turkish airport, these were suicide vests. It’s not that difficult to actually construct and fabricate a suicide vest … so if you have a determined enemy and individuals who are not concerned about escape, that they are going into it with a sense that they are going to die, that really does complicate your strategy in terms of preventing attacks.”

Now whether Turkish airport security is in CIA’s purview, I have no idea. But to say there was “no warning”.... ‘though I guess if Brennan didn't get a call from one of the bombers giving the date, time, location and number and names of the attackers, perhaps “no warning” would be correct./s
The millennial bombers were headed to LAX when they were arrested coming off a ferry from Canada. So we have known since then that the check in or security mob scene at International Airports has been a target. I stopped using LAX for my flights for just that reason.
In my head I am wondering if these are Somali or Syrian refugees and the govt gave them low wage jobs at the airport?
I have two thoughts: One, they might do it at a smaller airport where security may be more limited (MLI/ Moline,IL/SBA -Santa Barbara,CA are good examples) or two, a larger one where it would cause more damage/deaths such as JFK or LAX.

Also, what's up with the Daesh moniker they keep using and trying to get us to use? Supposedly it's some sort of insult to ISIS/ISIL..I think it's deflection and refuse to use the term.
Daesh is an acronym for the Arabic name of the Islamic State, better known as ISIS or ISIL
We must be respectful and use the Arabic term! /s Obama started calling it ISIL so no one could bring up his statement that Syria wasn’t at risk. And I suspect Obama resurrected the walls against intelligence sharing, that were in place during the Clinton Admin. The walls that didn’t allow us to connect the dots and prevent 9/11/01. All our enemies know all our intelligence and all our other secrets. Cleaning house after the Obamas leave is going to be a monumental task.

Well, considering that our "security" measures are not for actual security but rather (a) the appearance of security, and (b) the cultivation of an unthinking submissive-to-authority mindset I can't really say... but I suspect anything that comes from it.

The U.S. had piles of intelligence on this and plenty of warnings. The Obama Administration and the Clinton State Department ignored the intelligence and the hundreds of warnings to further the Obama/Hillary narrative that the "war" in Libya was over and al Qaeda was crushed in order to get him re-elected.
Been to the Houston airport recently?
I was just telling my mother about the Houston airport looking like I was in an Arab airport. Kemah boardwalk same way. We are not America any more.
And never forget, they are the ones that serviced [fueled,cleaned, ect.] the airplane you are flying in. One day, they will get the word to do thus and thus and at the appointed time.....boom.
