Four hours after three suicide bombers killed at least 41 people and wounded hundreds more at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, CIA Director John Brennan said the attacks bore the grim hallmarks of ISIS and warned that the fanatically violent Islamic terrorist group wants to conduct similar large-scale attacks in the United States.
“I am worried from the standpoint of an intelligence professional who looks at the capabilities of Daesh … and their determination to kill as many as people as possible and to carry out attacks abroad,” Brennan said in an exclusive interview at CIA headquarters with Yahoo News. Brennan credited effective homeland security measures and intelligence for the fact that ISIS has been unable to attack America directly — the Orlando and San Bernardino shootings were carried out by radicals inspired by ISIS but not under its control — but he believes the group will keep trying to penetrate American defenses.
“You look at what happened in the Turkish airport, these were suicide vests. It’s not that difficult to actually construct and fabricate a suicide vest … so if you have a determined enemy and individuals who are not concerned about escape, that they are going into it with a sense that they are going to die, that really does complicate your strategy in terms of preventing attacks.”

The “non-secure” areas proximal to the security check points in airports will always be juicy targets. I breath a sigh of relief now after passing through security.

If you can drive up to an airport terminnal, it is wide open to attack.
If you can drive to an area where you casn see the terminal, it is wide open to attack.
Remote parking, remote screening and secure buses to the terminal can slow this down, but it won’t stop it, either. The attacks will just shift to where folks gather for screening, or ground transport.
We all know that Captain Obvious. The issue is that Obama/Hillary are doing nothing about it.
If there are any more attacks on US soil before the election, it would be logical to presume that Mooslims want Donald Trump to be President.

Flying has become unpleasant and cumbersome enough but adding the threat of terror makes driving an option when practical

“Two months ago the US ordered all US military and diplomatic dependents out of Turkey! At the same time Israel ordered its citizens out.”
On March 29, all military dependents were ordered to leave Turkey. The concern was southern Turkey along the Syrian border.
Brennan and the CIA did nothing to secure the airport or stop the people who planned and organized the attack.
I simply refuse to fly any longer. I won’t go overseas because it’s not safe anymore. If I have to travel in the States I can get there via Hemi powered goodness.
That said my wife and son are flying to VA at the end of July. I pray it goes well.

While watching the videos of the attack last night one thing struck me. After the one suicide bomber was shot in the hip and his gun flew across the floor one of the security personnel walked over, saw the vest and ran. One well place shot to the head could have prevented that one explosion.
Gee.. now that's some really deep intelligence insight. /s
