A former adviser to Donald Trump floated Utah Rep. Mia Love on Friday as a possible pick for vice president on the real-estate mogul's ticket.
"If you were to name some people that nobody is talking about, to keep an eye on with the vice president [pick] who would you say we should keep our eye on?" asked Brian Kilmeade, a Fox News Radio host.
The former adviser, Michael Caputo, prefaced his answer by saying he was "never in those discussions" because they were "above my pay grade."
That said, he provided a couple names.
"The two people I think you should look at - and these are unorthodox. First is Mia Love, the congresswoman, somebody who is an African-American leader with really bright ideas and an ability to communicate," Caputo said.
"Is there a relationship there?" Kilmeade asked.
"There is. People are looking at her. There is an incredible opportunity for the Republican Party," Caputo replied.

Worse, she has been GOPe since she got to Congress.
Hey, it’s “many are cold but few are frozen”.
Great assessment.
Lewandowski said it was someone that could step into the position without needing training and was a household word. A list of no more than 4. Who fits that profile? Newt? Sessions?
How about Bo Derek?
Oh brother. Another politician with no history of leadership or much of anything else, for that matter, being touted because she’s a minority.
She went RINO quickly.
Neither of her parents were American citizens at the time of her birth in Brooklyn, NY. I love her dearly but I have a technical concern about that.
I realize the current NBC definition is if you did not have to go through the naturalization processes to gain citizenship you are now considered to be a NBC.
If Trump does choose him, that tune will change.
she said she is not going to the convention, she is going to Israel.
Not for me it won’t.
Although, I will support and vote for Trump regardless of who he picks as VP,
Why thank you, cobra64. (’64 was a very good year.)
I agree. She had a great speech at the last convention and I was disappointed she lost the race back then and happy she one the last one. I saw her speak up close a year or two ago and I was relatively impressed, poor family and pulled herself up and then became Mayor. HOWEVER, she seemed to drink the RINO Kool-Aid not long after she arrived in DC. She is not anywhere near close to the top of my list for VP. People talked about Palin not having enough experience, IMHO Mia has a lot less that Palin (though that didn’t stop Obummer).
Good choice. Gohmert, Lee are 2 more.
PLEASE NO RINO CORKER from Tennessee. Loath him. Or Christie.
