A Virginia delegate to the Republican National Convention filed a class action lawsuit in federal court Friday challenging a state law that binds delegates to support the primary winner at the nominating convention.
The outcome of the lawsuit could have significant implications for Donald Trump's nomination, as it will be a test case of a key argument being pushed by some Trump opponents who want to see him stopped at a contested convention.

I expect this from Democrats. Is there anyone left who is stupid enough to think that there is a difference between the two parties anymore?
Anyone reading this that had not unregistered as a Republican is adding to the problem. Primaries are over. You can reregister back later but GOOe needs a clear message.
Register Decline to State

Trump will replace any delegates who don’t honor their commitment to vote for him on the first ballot.
They’re not free agents. Unless they’re released in writing, they must vote according to the instructions of their candidate.
If they can’t vote for Trump, they have no business being delegates in the first place.
Hopefully not. Hasn’t been a 2 party system for years.
Florida still has state primaries so can’t change yet!
Rubio back in it!
There is absolutely no “right” to be a delegate to a party convention.
He needs to resign so the Trump team can replace him with a delegate who has no problem following that which he agreed to do when he took on the role in the first place.
And the federal court’s need to stay out of this. Parties are allowed to have rules for their conventions and delegates are obligated to follow those rules; otherwise, resign.
Absolutely! Do away with delegates. It’s BS!
Forgive them lord for they know not what they do, are they insane???? they better change thier names and leave the country if this happeneds and the witch of chappaquea becomes the next president
This is just one of the MANY Republican Office holding frauds who are really Democrats. About half the Republicans in office right now are really Democrats talented at defrauding the sheeple back home into believing them enough to vote for them.
These GOP establishment bassturds want Clinton to win.
“Beau Correll, a Republican National Convention delegate who served as one of Cruz’s campaign co-chairs in Virginia’s 10th district, is the only named plaintiff in the suit, but he’s filed it on behalf of others.”
Here you have it, another leftover POS from the “explosion” of the sewage treatment plant that was/is Ted Cruz! Cruz and his minions all need to be driven from the Republican Party, they are simply a pack of Saul Alinskys trying to install a closet Marxist!
It’s time to get rid of these freeloading, two-bit, ‘delegates’ and go back to using the actual votes cast by the voters. Let these dumbass “delegates” pay for their own party week somewhere else.
What is the legal basis for the lawsuit?
We think Trump is icky and don’t want to vote for him?
No it will have no implications. Its BS. Trump will be easily and smoothly nominated at the convention.
