Most people expected this....but four weeks down the line....not three hours after the announced results of the referendum.
Boris Johnson probably will get the vote.
But I don’t think it’s all ended there. Even for the Labor Party....there’s talk of firing their boss. The accusation is that he never showed full enthusiasm for the stay-in effort (he did make speeches and talked of the reason to stay in....but you could tell his heart just wasn’t into the platform).
Some people think that perhaps up to 100,000 Brits may pack up and leave the country over the next year....because of the anticipated issues involved.
The decision to exit EU by majority Britons was based mostly on jobs and immigration issues. If I’m not mistaken, UKIP party supporters/voters were significant contributors to Brexit.
London I think by majority voted to remain in EU.
Time will tell if it was the right decision... economically it can actually work to the detriment of the UK, I think. Bear in mind UK is not the U.S., in its economy.
Talk about your Hari-Kari in a hurry! I think Cameron saw this coming, and figured he had lost the support of his people. At least some western leaders can still do the honorable thing and make themselves scare. Mr. Obama, are you looking at your pal in England?
Can we have a referendum to leave the nightmare we are in.....oh yeah IN NOVEMBER.
TODAY THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND DECIDED TO REGAIN THEIR COURAGE, REGAIN THEIR SELF RESPECT, REGAIN THEIR FREEDOM REGAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND BECOME GREAT AGAIN.
HOPEFULLY AMERICA WILL DO THE SAME IN NOVEMBER.
Don’t let the door hit you in the butt as you BREXIT.
Hurrah!
Obama should resign too.
Make England and America great again!
Wish Obama would step down!
How can it be sensible to hook yourself up with so many countries, so many economies, so many societies which exist on so many different levels... some successful, some outright bust (and right from the beginning)? Loser economies like Greece, that was limping to start out and never had any intention to reform, were IN only for what it GOT THEM.
Your chances of success and prosperity are ONLY as good as the chances for the weakest link in THAT chain.
It's illogical to expect anything else.
Well, bye.
I had a terrible mirgraine last night and turned in very early. I had a bad feeling and dreaded looking up the results this morning, first I checked the election day polls that come out after the polls closed, they were bad, then I looked, and the good guys won (at least in England and Wales)!
Congratulations to the patriots of the United Kingdom, 800 years after the Magna Carta another blow for freedom is struck. Bye bye Napoleonic nightmare.
Happy trails to Dave Cameron, I hope Boris Johnson is not the next PM because despite his position on this I believe that clown is overall to Cameron’s left and was a Bammy admirer, correct me if I’m wrong. How about Gove?
What kind of leader resigns like this? A fair weathered, non flexible PM.
Congrats to our British cousins. Now, may that political earthquake happen here!
You know what, Cameron? If you'd given a damn about what the British people wanted and gone to bat for them instead of letting bureaucRATS in Brussels run their lives, you might not have to resign yourself to resigning (a little British-style wordplay there).
Enjoy your lucrative retirement package. Just remember who is funding it. HA. Riiiiiiight.
I love this. Cameron allowed the vote only because he thought he could steal the election, and the actual outcome blew up his stupid face. Did he really think that stealing seats from UKIP in Parliament would work out in his favor? Maybe the Tories can get a leader who actually cares about Britain.
Is there another Churchill around?
Time to clean house. Thank God.
