DEVELOPING: A gunman in a mask stormed a movie theater in western Germany Friday and opened fire wounding several people, local media reported.
Investigators would not immediately confirm the number of wounded, but described it as a "threat situation."
The Kinopolis movie theater is located in Viernheim, approximately 40 miles south of Frankfurt.
Police in the nearby city of Mannheim sent officers to support the operation, spokesman Norbert Schaetzle told reporters.

Yes, Islam “inspires” its followers, but they were not actually acting in concert with a web of co-conspirators who are probably conspiring for other things and could be tracked down and stopped. 1 man is already stopped. There is no-one waiting to pick up his gun.

And I don’t like dumbing down ANY terminology or any process. I don’t care who is perpetrating what, the definitions should be held to. Otherwise, all mass murders and serial murders are “terrorism”, but that is a separate category! (Yes, I know, since 9/11 we’ve been dumbing down this term already, as well as other things, but I’m still complaining.)
If you want to point out the motive, fine. More than willing to say he did it because of Islam. But technically, unless he had a web of conspirators connected to some major organization, it’s not terrorism.

I am aware and already explained my position.
After 9/11 it became standard joke to speak of “Amish” regarding genuine terrorist acts.
It made sense because they are of a religious group, not race.
Then it was co-opted to speak of blacks, but it’s not as funny because they do not match exactly, never mind irritating that it went away from the original point.
They're the religion of peace, obviously.

The threat is way too high. Every day they are out there, overwhelmingly so. They are way to aggressive and need an extreme tune up.

Terrorism classically requires a web of conspiracy. If this guy was doing it essentially alone (maybe his wife), yes, it’s “just” mass murder.
Until you link these guys specifically to ISIS (or others), what they SAY on calls makes no difference. They are mass murderers, WITH THE MOTIVE OF ISLAM.
Why we so desperately need to say it’s strictly “terror” I don’t know. Watch it, because if you call this terror, libs will call all the white-guy mass murderers “terrorists” too, and bring out how they were “gun” terrorists, or “white supremecist” terrorists, or “Christian” terrorists. All “inspired” by something - naturally - as this guy was by Islam.
