Several GOP delegates working to block Trump's nomination: report
The Hill ^ | June 17, 2016 | Ben Kamisar

At least 30 delegates are mounting a longshot attempt to deny Donald Trump the GOP presidential nomination on the convention floor, The Washington Post reported Friday.

The delegates hope to change party rules next month to take away delegates who are pledged to the presumptive nominee but who may not actually support him. The attempt comes on the heels of a tough stretch for Trump, who has seen his favorability plummet and any lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton evaporate over his attacks on a Hispanic federal judge, comments this week about banning Muslims and other controversies.

“Trump’s “earned” delegate positions were filled by Cruz supporters because they easily out numbered Trump supporters in some, and maybe most, congressional districts by 77 to 3 all over the country.”

This is true, although the name being discussed is not Cruz, but Cruz being king maker for another person.

Delegates who ought think about their personal safety if they cheat on something like this. This is beyond the pale
. Trump ought to do full background checks on these people find what is there and force them to resign. Blackmail? You bet.

If someone like hillary Clinton gets “ elected” then there is no further need to pretend that elections matter anymore

Paul Ryan and the rest of his ilk have not yet grasped their insignificance yet.

Don't be so sure. Looks like Ryan is trying to thwart Trump at every turn. He goes to the media to air his complaints about Trump and I suspect he still has POTUS aspirations to overtake him at the convention. Now he's threatening to SUE TRUMP!!!

Remember — Trump was suppose to know the rules; he won by the rules in force. What else can he do?

That must be why Ryan is maintaining a high profile, trying to be Mr. Big. He thinks he can saunter into the convention and come out as the main man, like he did with the Republican sheep/fools in the House.

Can’t wait to see what Trump has to say about them at the convention.

After he is officially the nominee, he can unload on both parties. Could work in his favor once it’s all said and done. Shouldn’t be this way, but he has a rough patch between now and the convention.

The convention is still a month away.

A lot can happen in a month.

Meanwhile, The Donald is still on his “Charm offensive”, and he seems to be working both parts of that phrase. Offending the #NeverTrump crowd and charming just about everybody else.

The guy has billions, and when he talks, I for one will sure listen.

Maybe I'm late to the party on this, but I notice that the MSM seem to always refer to Trump as the presumptive nominee but never the same when it comes to Her Heinous. In fact, I went to the Hill site and found this article in which both she and Trump are mentioned, but only he's got that label.

The MSM are vile lying scum.

Rules changes have to be voted on by the full convention. Trump has 1542 delegates at last count.

So, who are the 30 nutcases that want to commit political suicide?

Hillary has more disunity then we do!

We need to expect that the GOPe is going to reject Trump.

He has beaten them and will do so again because the People support him.
