I was in Brevard County for a few years and they were everywhere, golf courses, lakes, really any standing body of water could be a danger. Im sure the parents feel awful and they really couldnt have known, but its a risk in Florida

We live in Florida. We’ve been swimming in many bodies of water here where alligators live. It’s not usually a problem as they are afraid of humans. Now they WILL go after small pets, but they usually leave people alone.
Nice shoes....Would like a pair of Tony Lamas in the same motif(round toe thank you)
Judge.Napaleno was on Fox and said Disney would be liable not just for the loss of the child but for the emotional state they went through.
The insurance company will settle without a suit. he explained why and how
There will be no Lawsuit. Disney will Financially settle with the Family and there will be a non disclosure agreement.
In their Business, keeping this story in the Public Eye with a pending Lawsuit would cost them much more than any Financial Settlement.
Way back when, a Child died after eating an undercooked Hamburger at Jack In The Box. Jack In The Box jumped right on it by Settling with the Family and immediately changing their Food preparation procedures.
There was no protracted Lawsuit. Jack In The Box admitted their error and did what they had to do. They also successfully rebranded after the tragedy.
You seem to have the perfect solution to everything don't you keyboard monkey?
They will want this to go away as quickly as possible, they’ll settle generously.
(We have timber rattlers on one of our local courses )
Words escape me on this.
gators don’t know the dif between a yapping miniature poodle and a toddling 2 year old
Take it easy.
What do you & a wrench have in com on?
You’re both tools, but only one is useful.....
Common
That does not count disappearances due to unknown causes; maybe none by 'gator, maybe dozens.
Darn guns again.
I agree. Disney must have some of the best attorneys available handling this kind of thing. I would be very surprised if they didn’t do everything possible to make this go away as quickly as they can.
In Florida, all water bodies, man made or natural, are home to alligators. Almost all of Disney property before they built in the late 60’s, was swamp land. The park is a wildlife preserve and the gators are right at home.
Even here in NW Florida we have gators on the beaches from time to time on the Gulf of Mexico. People have been attacked walking their dogs along the edges of the sound and even inland several miles from shore we have gators in the Eglin AFB areas...................
“Disney is supposed to be trapping the gators over 4. This one - and the one that chased the Brit family, recently were over 4.”
I think they need to drop the size issue and trap anything they come across of. This one that attacked the boy might have been in back of the area for years and finally decided to come to the populated area.
Yikes. How often to golfers there do much searching for lost balls? I wouldn’t. :)
We have alligator seasons, else we would be up to our asses in alligators................
