I was in Brevard County for a few years and they were everywhere, golf courses, lakes, really any standing body of water could be a danger. I’m sure the parents feel awful and they really couldn’t have known, but it’s a risk in Florida

We live in Florida. We’ve been swimming in many bodies of water here where alligators live. It’s not usually a problem as they are afraid of humans. Now they WILL go after small pets, but they usually leave people alone.

Judge.Napaleno was on Fox and said Disney would be liable not just for the loss of the child but for the emotional state they went through.
The insurance company will settle without a suit. he explained why and how

There will be no Lawsuit. Disney will Financially settle with the Family and there will be a non disclosure agreement.

In their Business, keeping this story in the Public Eye with a pending Lawsuit would cost them much more than any Financial Settlement.

Way back when, a Child died after eating an undercooked Hamburger at Jack In The Box. Jack In The Box jumped right on it by Settling with the Family and immediately changing their Food preparation procedures.

There was no protracted Lawsuit. Jack In The Box admitted their error and did what they had to do. They also successfully rebranded after the tragedy.

They will want this to go away as quickly as possible, they’ll settle generously.

It’s the Republicans fault. This alligator is just reacting to the climate of hate that they have produced.

Almost. It's the climate change they have produced.

Since 1942? There have only been 26 human deaths by alligators.

That does not count disappearances due to unknown causes; maybe none by 'gator, maybe dozens.

I agree. Disney must have some of the best attorneys available handling this kind of thing. I would be very surprised if they didn’t do everything possible to make this go away as quickly as they can.

In Florida, all water bodies, man made or natural, are home to alligators. Almost all of Disney property before they built in the late 60’s, was swamp land. The park is a wildlife preserve and the gators are right at home.

Even here in NW Florida we have gators on the beaches from time to time on the Gulf of Mexico. People have been attacked walking their dogs along the edges of the sound and even inland several miles from shore we have gators in the Eglin AFB areas...................

“Disney is supposed to be trapping the gators over 4’. This one - and the one that chased the Brit family, recently were over 4’.”

I think they need to drop the size issue and trap anything they come across of. This one that attacked the boy might have been in back of the area for years and finally decided to come to the populated area.
