Gretchen Carlson is renewing her push for an AR-15 ban, firing off a series of tweets further criticizing AR-15s and pointed to her daughter’s work with a Newtown charity. Breitbart News reported that Carlson said that AR-15s are not needed “to hunt or kill deer” and suggested they only serve to enable terrorists to carry out their attacks with greater efficiency. She quoted a December 2015 poll showing majority support for an “assault weapons” ban and said, “I’m with the majority today, taking a stand.”
When confronted by Second Amendment supporters on Twitter, Carlson doubled down on her pro-ban stance, sometimes conflating an AR-15 with the 30-round magazines that can be used in such a firearm.

LOL. This shows how ignorant Carlson is about firearms. The reason AR-15s are not generally used to hunt or kill deer is that they are not powerful enough to do so humanely. The rifles used to "hunt or kill deer" by millions of hunters are MUCH more powerful and deadly than an AR-15. Usually either a .30 caliber rifle or a .12 gauge shotgun loaded with slugs - I'd rather be shot at by an AR-15 than either of those.
Didn’t know the otherwise lovely Mrs. Carlson was all for destroying the 2nd Amendment.

Once again, let me say the recent article on virtue signaling was excellent and a must read for all FReepers.
The key is recognize it for what it is and then promptly made to pay for it and laughed at for trying to do it. Gretchen needs to be humiliated as a comic target for our humor and then lose her “journalism” job as no one can see her face without laughing for her pathetic attempt at virtue signaling.

Well, the metal detector deterred all the good guys with guns. All the bad guy had to do was shoot the metal detector operator and he was in.
