But the Left already abuses power any number of ways and gives us no recourse on correcting it. Obviously, the only way it cannot be abused is if we elect more principled conservatives after him. But this is also true on 100 other issues so it really matters not what one more change happens.
Your question is like "what if we elect the next Stalin after he leaves office?"
We can't make policy based on worst case scenario.
I have a concealed weapon. Carry it everywhere. Think of scenarios. Let’s try a couple.
Scenario #1
1. You’re taking groceries to your car. You reach in the passenger side to put the last few bags in, and you feel someone with a gun at your side. He says give me your wallet. I keep my wallet in a hand bag. What do you do?
a. Tell the person, “Please don’t shoot. My wallet is in my bag. Please, please don’t shoot.” You reach into your bag and take out your wallet which you hand to the robber.
b. Same as “a” with the exception, that after you give the robber your wallet, you pull out your gun and shoot him as he flees, which will most likely be in his back.
c. Same as “a” with the exception you pull out you gun, instead of your wallet, and shoot the robber. (If you’ve never practiced this maneuver before, it’s not that easy.)
d. The moment the gun touches your side, you turn, grab the gun and wrestle the robber all the while shouting for help.
e. other.
What proof do you have that anyone can be put on that list that easily?
That would be even better if it came directly from Mr. Trump’s lips.
The media is practically saying that Christians were responsible for Orlando.
And the fact that liberals have already said the conservatives are extremists, so they’re likely to dump anyone who has donated to conservative groups on the watch list per IRS records.
That is only for the no fly list and as the link states, the redress process is wholly inadequate. There is currently no redress if you are put on the terrorist watch list.

Sounds like he is meeting with them to listen. If the NRA is worth their salt they will tell him the same thing.

I’m not against the basic idea here, but there has to be far more protections in place to prevent this type of law from being abused than we’ve seen with past proposals before I could take the next step and support it.
Never mind that the list is riddled with inaccuracies and it is impossible to find out why you are on it or how to get off.
Not only protections as far as any proposed list, but just a bunch of common sense stuff that would make me believe they really want to protect citizens from violent threats. These dim bulbs can’t even get profiling or the border right, so no lists until they wise the hell up about things.

I’m currently being audited by the IRS. In order to substantiate deductions, I have to provide proof of payment. For me, that means providing copies of credit card statements. I figure my Tea Party Patriots and Freedom Alliance deductions got me audited to begin with, but my NRA-ILA and Free Republic payments noted on the credit card bills will probably put me on a terror list.

It’s not clear to what you are referring to.
My point was that if they do this, obama (or hillary if she’s POTUS) will immediately use this to brand patriots of all stripes as potential ‘terrorists’, thereby stripping them of more rights and freedoms, including the right to bear arms.
I know a President Trump would never torture the meaning of ‘terrorist’, nor would he ever misuse a law to punish political enemies. But in the wrong hands this could be the worst thing for us.
This is why it is very important to elect Mr. Trump. Watching him now in GA speaking.
