Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 28m28 minutes ago I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns.

Everyone needs to get on DT’s social media accounts and phone to explain the risks of supporting this feel good, but really bad idea. The Regime can put anyone they want on such lists without review or recourse. Oppose gun control, favor Israel, criticize Obama, be an NRA member, etc. you could end up losing your 2nd Amendment rights.
Actually, if you used all of the mass shooters from the past twenty years....correct me if I’m wrong, but other than the San Bernadino couple....no one else was on some terror watch list.
Does the NRA have control over watch lists??
what are the criteria to get put on a watch list and who in the government decides? It will likely be Christians and American patriots at the top of the government’s list.
This is an important step for the Trump people. Meeting with the NRA means that he is interested in being educated on the subject. I’m pretty sure based on his past behavior, that had he felt certain in his understanding, he would have been making pronouncements already.
I have no clue what the outcome may be, but this looks far better than a focus group to see what position gets you the most votes.
Two word response: Pressure Cooker
Don’t do this, Donald. Very bad idea.
... and if you’re on the list then you also don’t get to speak freely or get to worship as you please; and you can be searched at will by any cop who feels like it, and on and on and on.
The Bill of Rights should not be selectable, and certainly not by politicians.
Oh, by the way, if you’re a woman then forget about voting.
Trump spox on FoxBiz just now:
If were not going to let people under FBI investigation buy guns, perhaps we shouldnt let them run for President either.
BRILLIANT!!!
Would it not be wonderful for thousands of virulent, psychotic libtards to discover that they have to just stay in Cancun or Cuba or whatever place they are because they Can’t Come Back! America would benefit grandly and almost immediately. Wealthy conservatives could just buy the MSM and then send “journalists” on an assignment. Do you want this job or do you want to NOT go on this assignment in Egypt/Venezuela/North Korea? I would predict an outpouring of patriotism from the media that would be stunning in it’s rapidity and magnitude. On the plus side, it may actually be a simple, massive correction for the propaganda they have produced for generations.
You are a professor of Wymyn Studies and racial Bias at Berkley? You Can’t Come Back. You were a libtard politician that represented Detroit/LA/fill in the blank for the last thirty years and wanted to go to Brunei to solicit donations and now you are in a harem and want to return whining about your US citizenship? No, you Can’t Come Back. I like it. Go Trump!
Constitution(
Due process?
Note how Donald focuses on terrorists and guns.
I agree that a ‘list of terrorists’ may easily be manipulated by the Left to disarm law-abiding Americans.
The best remedy is for more Americans to be trained in weapons and to be more vigilant. Had security been armed in Orlando, the carnage would have been a lot less.
But if you are denied the right to purchase a gun all the background check says is “denied” without giving a reason. My son was denied because of a court error that said he had unpaid traffic tickets. He appealed and was told that the investigation could take 6 months.
The FBI, NSA< and CIA will fight tooth and claw to keep that list secret claiming that it is a matter of national security.
Look how the Patriot Act got bastardized.
Had the FBI done its job, it would have never happened.
True. Everybody in the govt should be fired when Trump becomes POTUS. They dropped the ball way too many times in the name of PC.
Not me. I've chosen to "opt out" of the government's background check scheme since the Brady Bill became law back in the 1990's, all my purchases are through individuals, cash only, preferable from people I don't know and will never see again. I've never trusted the promises that the feds aren't keeping a defacto "registration" list somewhere, since I've never filled out a single Form 4473 as far as the government is concerned I don't own a single gun and I intend to keep it that way...(even if universal background checks ever become law.)
The PATRIOT Act is not being used in any way that was not clearly spelled out in the legislation, despite what GWB, Ashcroft, and Congress would have us believe.
In other words, it is working exactly as intended.
