CNN host Anderson Cooper has slammed Florida's Attorney General for her LGBT views in the wake of the Orlando massacre.
The journalist accused Pam Bondi of hypocrisy during an interview outside the hospital where people caught up in Omar Mateen's deadly rampage are being treated.
He reminded her of when she said allowing same-sex marriage would bring 'significant public harm' to the state.
A few days ago, shortly after horrific terrorist attack that left 49 people dead, she said anyone who went against the LGBT community will be met by the full extent of the law.
But Cooper, who is gay, began the heated segment by saying: 'I talked to a lot of gay and lesbian people here yesterday, who are not fans of yours.
'They thought you were being a hypocrite... Do you really think youre a champion of the gay community?'
'Ive never said I dont like gay people,' she responded.
She also tried to defend herself by saying she was trying to protect Florida's constitution when she made the remarks.
The broadcaster then questioned whether she thinks her remarks would influence people who could be violent towards the gay community.
He then said: 'Is it hypocritical to portray yourself as a champion of the gay community? Im just reflecting what a lot of gay people have told me. They dont see you as that.'
Bondi then retorted that today was about the victims
She said: 'Im not portraying myself as anything, other than trying to help human beings.'
'Im not championing anything other than Floridians.'
Cooper then said: 'I will say I have never really seen you talk about gays and lesbians and transgender people in a positive way, until now.
'People in the state want to know that you are representing everybody'.

The left really is ignorantly more afraid of conservative Christians than radical Islam. A person can be opposed to gay marriage, believe as a Christian that a homosexual lifestyle is a sin, and still believe that gay people shouldn't be met with physical harm or death! And vice versa. I am certain there are many gay people who don't agree with the Catholic Church, but they don't believe Catholics should be met with harm or death. For Cooper to indicate supporting traditional marriage could influence violence to the LGBT community is disgusting.
How many Christians are there in this country that are opposed to gay marriage? How many are there in Europe? How many gay nightclubs have we ever shot up? How many mass shootings of gay people have we been involved in? Even the Westboro Baptist Church, evil though they are, merely waves some mean signs that no one takes seriously. They don't even commit violence! Tell me, Anderson Cooper, how are gays treated in the majority of majority Western countries vs. how are they treated in primarily Muslim countries? Then explain to me what relevance some Christian opposed to gay marriage here has on influencing violence on gays over there and this shooting.

If the AG of Florida were a well-known atheist and Omar Marteen had slaughtered 50 people in a Church, could you imagine - even for a moment - Anderson Cooper saying, “Well, you haven’t exactly shown yourself to be a champion of the Christian community in the past. You didn’t even tweet out anything about Christmas or Easter”????
I think it’s a matter of projection. When leftists disagree with someone, they want them dead. They assume that conservatives think the same way.
Last night I see Don Lemon interviewing the Jihadist father like they were best buddies..this Jihadist father HATES gays yet Don Lemon, also a homo, had no problem sitting with this man and shaking his hand
Seeing the reaction to Orlando, I'd say the best hope we have is for the Christians to go underground and not come out until the rest of these people have killed one another off.
Cooper should probably refrain from covering this and any other stories involving sexual deviants.
He can’t be objective.
(((shudder)))....

What you said. We wish they weren’t so in our face flaming gay, but don’t want to kill them, and in fact defend them as Americans.
Saw that too. There is something seriously wrong here.
Legitimizing sodomists - an issue issue in which Anderson clearly has an emotional investment and a conflict of interest.
turns out of Islamic terrorist was yelling “Allahu Akbar,” according to a survivor’s interview. Watch the liberal media cover this up.
The issue is never the issue.
The issue is always the revolution

Yellow journalism, the media loves it.
Should be fired for his unprofessionalism (never mind the idiocy of his logic).
But ‘what makes money makes the air’ is the heart of TV reportage..
Hey Andy!
It is ok to offer sympathy and support to victims in a particular circumstance, WITHOUT endorsing your entire agenda.
Parents love their children, but that doesn’t mean giving them everything they want.
You just wait, Jihadi father soon to have his own talk show on CNN..here you have a man who has said that he hates gays, raised his son to hate gays, and you have Don Lemon, who is gay, sitting there, smiling and talking to him like they were talking about the NBA Finals..just goes to show, as long as you are a Muslim, you can say how much you hate homos and they will say “We understand”
They have the same infernal daddy.
And watch, the Jihadist wife who helped assist in the attack will be portrayed as the victim she will have her own talk show too
I guess that Pam was right.
Laz would certainly hit it.
