Omar Mir Seddique Mateen has been named as the gunman who killed as many as 20 people and wounded 40 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, CBS News reports.
He was later killed by police after taking hostages at the club.
Mateen, 29, is a U.S. citizen from Port St. Lucie, Florida, according to CBS News.
Here’s what you need to know:

The most important fact to know about him is that his name is Omar Mateen rather than Bill Smith, and that his religious affiliation is Islam rather than Christianity. This means that the media will tell us that these attacks had nothing to do with the perp's religion, that his motives are unclear, and that there's really nothing to see here folks.
I also wonder what the reaction of homosexual activists will be. My guess is that they'll go on whining about how some Christian baker won't bake them a cake, while siding politically with Muslims who want to actually kill them.

CBS news is reporting that they’ve found Mateen’s picture on an ISIS website—was there before attack.

Local FBI Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge Ron Hopper said they can’t say definitively whether the gunmen is connected to that ideology. He said we’re looking into all angles right now.

You can be sure the `rats are checking to see if Omar was on the `No fly’ list. The `rats will try to blame the GOP for blocking Fineswine’s attempted gun-grab after San Bernadino.
When you have a population who’s infected with some deadly disease and you don’t know who has it and who doesn’t, the logical, sensible and life-preserving course of action is to quarantine the whole population.
