Donald Trump took to twitter Wednesday night and with the push of a button, perhaps shed some light on his VP choice -- just as his advisers hoped he wouldn't do.
Just before 10 p.m., Trump retweeted a supporter who said: "@KathyCeurter: @realDonaldTrump please Mr.Trump make @SenatorJeffSessions your VP. He is a perfect running mate.' He is a great guy!"

Jefferson Sessions would be a good, solid choice. But how does he expand Trump’s appeal. Marsha Blackburn could stir up excitement like Sarah Palin did. Perhaps Mary Fallin of Oklahoma could, too.
Yeh I think Sessions would be great as VP but I don’t see him giving up his powerful committee position in the Senate.

Here in Maine back in late 2008 / early 2009, there was a postal worker who parked his personal vehicle in the back parking lot of a larger post office ten miles from where I live.
On the back window of his personal car, he had cut off the “McCain” portion of a bumper sticker. The only name that appeared, yellow on a navy blue background, was the name “Palin.”
Not Sessions. We need him in the Senate. Plus Sessions won’t help carry any states. Trump should do very well in the south without Sessions.
Sessions, for all the reasons you & others are saying. In my mind, Trump’s top priority should be trustworthiness. He has to pick someone who can be trusted with Trump’s life, no matter what, so Trump can be confident that his VP won’t slip cold steel into his back. I’m confident that Trump has already figured out how WashDC is full of sociopaths-in-suits, so I’m not worried about his wisdom on this. (See my tagline. He knows.)
If not Sessions, then one of the many Generals/Admirals whose career was cut short because he wouldn’t swallow Obama’s proverbial blue Matrix pill (”Yes, I’ll shoot American citizens if ordered to do so.”)
And no female. Save those picks for cabinet positions, etc. With Obama’s dismantling of our military, it’s dangerous out there and it’s only going to get worse before we can get it back up to safe levels. Call me old-fashioned, but I want 2 alpha males in there when the North Korean Chia-Psycho starts throwing temper tantrums with his nukes. Besides, picking a female would only give the perception that Trump caved to appease the feminazi crowd.

Sessions is needed in the Senate. Period.
If the GOP Senators keep trashing Trump there is more than a slight chance they will lose the Senate.
