On the pleasant summer evening of July 17, 1996, TWA Flight 800 left JFK Airport in New York bound for Paris. Twelve minutes after takeoff, about ten miles south of the popular south shore of Long Island, at least two surface-to-air missiles blew the 747 out of the sky, killing all 230 people on board.
I write the above with 100 percent confidence. I owe that confidence to the efforts of a small corps of committed individuals -- eyewitnesses, independent researchers, whistleblowers from within the investigation, and family members who have turned their grief into action. In attempting to get at the truth, at least three of these people were arrested, several others were thrown off the TWA 800 investigation, and every one of them was ridiculed.
In TWA 800: The Crash, The Cover-Up, The Conspiracy (Regnery: July 5), I get to tell their story, an epic one. What makes the story so compelling is that these everyday citizens have struggled against a Goliath that could not have been more powerful. The opposition includes, among other powers, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the FBI, and the CIA.
In a totalitarian country, authorities can suppress information at will. In America, the media have to collaborate in that suppression, and this they did, closing their eyes to the obvious and accepting without evidence the government’s unproven theory of a spontaneous fuel tank explosion.

From where? The aircraft was too high for a shoulder fired missile. There is no chance of a land based missle with the proper range, if you’re going to blame a ship, then which ship? You can’t keep an entire crew silent, not about something like this.
Bill Clinton was anticipating his impending re-coronation and his preferred National narrative was peace and prosperity.

all of the investigators were admonished to come up with the pre-arranged scenario, which was an accident.
this new war by terrorists did *not* begin on 9/11/2001.

I don’t normally subscribe to conspiracy theories, but Flight 800 is an exception. The coverup was so obvious, only an idiot would believe the official explanation.
I’ve never been on a ship, but I would assume that not everyone knows everything about what’s going on at any one time. It may be that only a handful of people, maybe senior officers, had to keep silent. Other than a stricken conscience, what would motivate them to come forward?
I have always believed the crash of TWA800 was terrorism. I was on board a TWA800 flight about a year before the crash. At that time the flight went JFK to Paris then on to Tel Aviv. I remember a large percentage of the passengers were Orthodox Jews and several of them were praying in the terminal before boarding.
If the media ever mentioned the Israel connection, I never heard it.

TWA 800 happened during the Clinton Regime. The cover up of the TWA 800 shoot down is the type of cover up and media complicity we will get from a Hillary Clinton Regime.

The US government learned decades ago how to control the press. Control the press and near brain dead Americans will believe almost anything they are told.

This whole incident stunk from the very beginning.....
There was a military cargo pilot (C-130?) at the time who was briefly interviewed on network TV at that time. My wife & I both caught this broadcast. He (pilot) stated he had observed an exhaust trail up & into what turned out to be the 747.
That was the first and last time this flight officer was seen or heard from publicly.
My wife aptly stated that he had been “shuffled off to Buffalo” rapidly.

Two more words: James Kalstrom (the FBI pr1ck who engineered the coverup)
And the blaming of the center fuel tank for the explosion simply doesn’t ring true because if that were actually the case they’d require modification of every center fuel tank of every 747 to avoid a recurrence of that horrible event.
