Lindsey Graham Caves, Quietly Tells Fellow Republicans to Get Behind Trump
14 days later, Graham has not only done a complete 180, but he is telling other Republicans to un-endorse Donald Trump.
Yes, just so we’re clear, Graham went from “hell no” on Trump to “eh maybe” on Trump to “okay let’s do this” on Trump to “ABANDON THIS SINKING SHIP WOMEN AND CHILDREN AND DONORS FIRST.”
Graham spoke to The New York Times and made it clear he’s telling Republicans to get out while they still can:
Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, another former primary rival of Mr. Trump’s, urged Republicans who have backed Mr. Trump to rescind their endorsements, citing the remarks about Judge Curiel and Mr. Trump’s expression of doubt on Sunday that a Muslim judge could remain neutral in the same lawsuit, given Mr. Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim noncitizens entering the country.
“This is the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy,” Mr. Graham said. “If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it,” he added. “There’ll come a time when the love of country will trump hatred of Hillary.”

I will say this in defense of Graham ,etal. Their rendition of "Americanism" has gotten us to where we are today. To wit} The laughing stock of the World. Under their leadership, we , as a nation, have gone from the most respected and envied Nation in the World to the joke of the World.
Wouldn’t be surprised, really.
Back in 2005, Lindsey was shown in photos slapping ol’ Hillary on the back and laughing up a storm with her.
You’ll notice the Graham proposal for amnesty started full force after that little meeting.
I’m almost positive that Lindsey asked Hillary how to stay elected forever, like Thurmond was (without having to be as hated as Strom was in the press), and Hillary told him the secret: the Democrat plan to make all the illegals into citizens practically overnight, and have them vote for their benefactors.
Just after he and she met, a Spanish-speaking flood began inundating SC. Can’t be coincidence; no such thing in government.

My fear is that even Donald Trump won’t be able to graft a spine onto these feckless quislings.

What he is saying is like saying it would be racist if Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy balked at having a mafia-bought judge preside over him in a case against him.
A public figure who has spoken out against an illegal group should not have to face a judge biased toward the illegal group.
Trump has spoken out against illegal immigrants as well as Islamic terrorists sneaking in either illegally or abusing our visa or refugee laws.
Sadly, many Americans who are either Muslim or Hispanic are not intelligent enough to understand that he isn’t insulting THEM.
They[Republicans] are either covertly or overtly campaign for and otherwise aid Hillary Clinton. They will also sabotage and undermine Donald Trump at every opportunity. It is not Donald Trump that they are fighting tooth and toenail. It is WE, the People. Donald is just the leader of us. They are also fighting to keep their ill gotten gains, to able to steal more money than they have already stolen from the taxpayers. And to keep their political power which translates to power. And do not think for even one minute that they will give this up merely because of the results of an election. This election cycle is going to get very dirty, very nasty, and may even get bloody. I can’t recall who said it, but someone said, The people have to be taught a lesson about picking someone like Trump. Or words to that effect. In any language, that is a threat.

Votes of no confidence against Ms. Graham have been passed in a number of state districts in SC. He’s persona non grata in the Upstate and can’t show his face without being flanked by an armed Pretorian guard. Senators cannot be recalled in any state. The only legal penalty voters can exercise against a fascist, rogue senator is societal ostracism.
Well there is an element of what you described but historically the Republican party shrinks from left wing criticism. Its a chronic condition of wanting to be accepted and not wanting to take a stand if its going to make them look like the bad guy. Democrats on the other hand have no problems with criticism they just shout it down. That’s what Trump does. He uses Democrat tactics and the GOP needs to catch on but I’m not optimistic.
They can all go to hell as Trump doesn’t need them as he has US:-)

It’s not the business about the judge. That’s just an excuse. In spite of the talk about an off ramp, there has obviously been something offered at the bottom of that ramp. We just don’t know what it is. Yet.
My friend who thinks they’re all pederasts thinks they’ve all been threatened with exposure.
I still say it’s their little spot in the underground survival tunnels. For them and their FAMILY, of course, which is what gives them the excuse to screw everybody else.
