Tropical Depression 3 has formed in the extreme southern Gulf of Mexico. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Florida Gulf Coast from Indian Pass to Englewood. The primary hazards with this system are expected to be flooding from heavy rains and some coastal flooding from storm surge. This system is expected to develop into Tropical Storm Colin.
Nauti ... I really don’t understand your anger. I’ve been looking at buoy reports and land-based reports for windspeeds. This is not a conspiracy. I’ll see you next storm. I bet my formula of NHC reported windspeeds minus 10-15 m.p.h. = actually reported windspeeds will be more accurate than NHC reported windspeeds once again. It always is.
Don’t you just love the nighttime storms! We still have occasional gusty winds, but it has definitely slowed down tonight. Our ‘fraidy dog is finally out of his thundershirt. He is looking exhausted after a long, stormy day.

Big disorganized storm needs to pass.
This storm is the gift that keeps on giving for the Tampa Bay area.
Thank you for the Hurricane updates. We’re still seeing high water rescues here in Texas although that does seem to be subsiding.
LOL, we have a similar saying up here: "If you don't like the weather in New England, wait a few minutes." ;-)
Fortunately, we are getting occasional breaks in the rain, allowing brief relief opportunities for the dogs. We've topped 5" of rain thus far in our coastal location. Rain guage shows 3" in the past several hours, added to 2.3" by 0700 today.
Wow, that's a lot of rain. Glad the pups were able to get outside a few times. Have you been in a drought situation?
Looks like another storm is forming near the Yucatan.
And, a suspicious area on the west end of Cuba.
Florida passes it Colin-oscopy...........................Katie Couric to narrate. Film at eleven......................
Ha!
Hope it is better today.
Still a few minutes of rain occasionally here.
Pool never overflowed...does sometimes in afternoon cloudbursts.
It hasn’t rained in several hours here. Our rain gauge clocked 5.75” for the event. Pool overflowed beginning yesterday morning. Fortunately, it is built to run off into the canal. Things are getting back to normal—clouds have thinned enough that we can almost see shadows now.
