Clinton opens up double-digit lead over Trump nationwide - Reuters/Ipsos poll

NEW YORK, June 3 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton has opened up a double-digit lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, regaining ground after the New York billionaire briefly tied her last month, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.

The shift in support comes as Clinton steps up her attacks on the real estate mogul's policy positions, and as Trump fends off criticisms of his eponymous university and the pace at which he doled out money that he raised for U.S. veterans.

Some 46 percent of likely voters said they supported Clinton, while 35 percent said they supported Trump, and another 19 percent said they would not support either, according to the survey of 1,421 people conducted between May 30 and June 3.

This is exactly why Gallup exited the polling business.

You cannot get a scientifically-based random poll anymore that’s honest and reliable.

Reuters-Ipsos Internet poll is the exact opposite of a random poll.

The numbers simply aren’t believable.

Showing primary’s opening lines is just red herring. Put your money, literally, on the line. And wait for the returns.

The betting lines between Hitlery and Trump have not moved in the past week or so. I think once Burnie goes away, the lines will continue to be a factor for Hitlery. Unless, of course, she gets indicted... but the betting lines must have taken that in account already.

Remember, it is the market where people are literally putting their money on the line.

It will be fun to wait and see.

Yeah, I remember those bettors back at the beginning of the Republican Primary heavily betting against Mt. Trump.

Their accuracy ended up where?

For the record, Reuters showed Trump winning the primary season handily.

“19 percent said they would not support either”

Wow.

Not undecided. That’s 19% who won’t support either. Big difference.

I’m concerned, and I wasn’t this time last week. This was a bad week for Trump in the eyes of the general electorate. I support Trump and will gladly vote for him, but I don’t necessarily have confidence in the American people to see through the onslaught of abuse Trump is only beginning to take. That’s just from the media. Wait for the negative Hillary ads by all her Wall Street donor money. After all, with this same electorate, Obama’s approval rating is over 50%. Like you said, changing demographics can be a problem.

Some are optimistic, and there have been times I thought it might be over for Trump before and he has bounced back, so I will hope that Teflon Don will prevail.

While I don’t trust these polls, I caution anyone that is poo-pooing this to keep in mind that this is 2016 and the culture has rotted to the core. Hiltery could shoot someone and have the event loaded up to youtube and she could still win. Who in their right mind would possible entertain boy king obie having a second term? Seriously!!

If he doesn’t win I’m only out $50 and my Freedom.

If the People of this Country are THAT STUPID, so be it.

For the survey, a sample of 1,615 Americans, including 759 Democrats, 525 Republicans, and 174 Independents ages 18+ were interviewed online.

Of course this is bogus. They say they surveyed 1,615 Americans but their group totals only come up to 1,458.

Throwing out the others that would mean they surveyed 52% Democrats, 36% Republicans, and 12% Independents.

On top of that they said Americans. Not citizens, registered voters, or likely voters.

Big F'n deal. Anyone with a pulse and a room temperature IQ in January can spot this as flawed.

I guess we can take some solace at the depth of their dishonesty this far in advance. Usually they don't get this desperate until right before an election.

If this is true, I am truly sad for my country..we are seeing the destruction of the United States of America..if people can actually elect this murdering witch to be President instead of someone like Donald Trump who LOVES this country..I guess like the saying goes, we get the country we deserve..other Communist countries elected the kind of country they deserved, I guess now is our turn. People can look at the kind of gang garbage that happened last night and have NO problem with THAT representing our country, a permanent Democratic voter block, Republicans will never win again..its just too depressing to even imagine but I guess I might as well prepare myself for it

Trump had a great week, Hillary had a lousy week, this poll is fake, it's Friday evening and you're tired, and remember to trust in God, not people.

Well that's about it.

Except maybe have a glass of wine.

THIS is "Reuters Polling Explorer" methodology.....Caveat emptor. I'm not sure what this poll shows, or doesn't show.

JMHO, it most resembles an adage I heard around the halls of Grad School:

"If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullsh**."

...also JMHO, the BS runs very, very deep in this one.

I like your optimism..I guess we will have to see what happens after Hitlary gets the nomination and Sanders supporters see the rigged system for what it is, let’s see how many of them become Trump voters :-)
