As you have likely heard, on this past Saturday a 4-year-old boy fell into the gorilla habitat at the Cincinnati Zoo.
A gut-wrenching decision was made by the zoo to shoot and kill the gorilla to protect the boy and rescue him from the habitat.
The fallout over the incident has taken a decidedly racist turn as the public has now discovered that the boy and his parents are black.
Laura Collins, in Cincinnati writing for the Daily Mail, published an absolutely despicable piece on the young boy’s parents, including every detail of his father’s criminal history.
The actual lede and headline for her piece was all about how the young boy’s father,

First of all, I’m amazed that this self-promoting clown has a newspaper column.
Second, as usual with these race-baiters, he lets his singular focus on race undermine what might otherwise be a valid point. Why should there be a newspaper article about the boy’s father being a criminal? It has absolutely nothing to do with the story. But you can bet the farm that if the boy was white and his father was a convicted of a crime, they would be running the same story. Its just sensationalism, pure and simple.
They should report on all the BLM tweets just after it happened claiming that if it had been a black kid they would have let the Gorilla kill him. Then, of course, they find out it was a black kid. DUH!
I thought it had become racist prior to the knowledge that the child was black.

By the way, is Shaun King the white guy who's been telling people he identifies as black? Or was that some other guy?
Actually there is more to it. Originally the story had it that BLM was mad because if it was a black baby they wouldn’t have shot the gorilla. Now they are trying to wiggle out of it knowing it was a black family.
In other words, blaming whitey didn’t work so now they are trying to figure out how to blame whitey.
I’d like to know what kind of weapon was used to put down the gorilla.
Any real reporters would have had that in the first paragraph or two.

I understand the father wasn’t even present. I first saw this family picture on Cincy TV yesterday, I think. I thought the father’s rap sheet being aired was entirely wrong.
Anything to take the focus off of how that 3 year old was unwatched enough to enter a gorilla habitat. Just because lots of us have slipped up in our watchfulness over our own children, that does not mean that we were absolved and actually watchful. Carelessness is carelessness whether many are careless or one is careless.
I sure would like to see some links showing that those handful goofy tweets had any direct link to BLM as an organization.

Does the author understand the Mail’s article was partly in response to the whole “white privilege” meme going around at the time? Does he also automatically assume the parents & children involved in the previous incidents he mentioned were white?
Why? It worked great for Elizabeth Warren. And now she is seen as “presidential” by Democrats.
