Bill was hoping that Scott Adams would disclose how Trump can be defeated. Instead, Scott Adams told him Trump will win the general election in a landslide. Via Real Clear Politics:
SCOTT ADAMS: Ive been studying persuasion for decades and when I saw Trump last summer displaying the tools of persuasion I thought, Oh my God, hes not a crazy clown. Everything hes doing, including his complete ignoring of the facts, is persuasion perfection. I called him to be the landslide winner in the general election last year.
Essentially hes basically bringing a flamethrower to a stick fight. Theres nobody using the same tools that hes using.

Of course Maher doesn’t get it. He’s dumber than $hit!
“Flamethrower to a stick fight ... No ones using the tools he’s using”
Just about the best, spot on summary of what’s going on here.

It looked as if he was clueless. Adams is also quite brilliant. He is going into the dem snake pit like Maher where they think they are going to learn how to beat Trump and they are very nice to Adams who proceeds to tell them they are going to lose in a landslide. What a brilliant set-up.
Yeah it’s going to be a Hillary/Dem butt beating, and its been obvious since last year.
Even though Adams always says that he isn’t a Trump supporter, it’s almost like he’s a psychological warfare agent being deployed by Trump to venues like Maher’s with his type of audience. Gets them thinking that Trump is really going to win, and they will become dispirited, because they know, deep down, that Hillary Clinton is a very weak, very poor candidate.
LOL - true...

Trump is effective “breaking the paradigm” when it comes to campaigning. Most politicians only use “what worked before” when it comes to election tactics and procedure. Trump has basically injected his own skills that are more effective into the battle while ignoring the “conventional wisdom” which has not changed with the times.
I think Hillary’s greatest weakness is public debate and forum chat. So here you are....a five-star opponent on those key features. I don’t see how she’d pick up more than five states in the electoral college.
I also think after eight years of Trump and his persuasion factor...both parties will be stuck having to go and find similar characters in the future.
So what “facts” does Donald ignore? Bunch of tripe....
” Essentially hes basically bringing a flamethrower to a stick fight”
I have to agree. I think he will have long coattails for the down ticket as well.
Adams is acting as a psychological analyst, looking at the methodology behind what everyone else wants to call “crazy” behavior on Trump’s part.
The art of persuasion, as it were...

Anyone have a list of facts that Trump is ignoring?
Two things I noticed — right now paused at 2:37 to make this comment:
1) Scott Adams repeats the lie, the big lie, the stinking big lie, that Trump never tells us his positions. Liar. Big liar. Stinking big liear.
2) For all of d*ck-head Maher’s name calling of Trump, he ends up (just before 2:37) of quoting Trump in a way that everyone in the audience laughs... with Trump!
I’ve seen #2 so often now, with my liberal friends, and on the media. They all claim to hate Trump, but then they end up quoting him.
And Maher had to just sit there and ask a few simple questions.
The whole effect of this among Dems will be: "Oh, Trump is not so off the deep end as I thought."
Multiple that message a few hundreds times and Trump is on his way!
Trump is “engineering consent” like Edward Bernays and fighting like Saul Alinsky.
And the left seems confused to see Alinsky coming back at them!

That you have to hew to Political Correctness to win? That would seem to be the “fact” that the GOPe has been operating under.
Otherwise, the whole segment was explaining how smart Trump is. So this was a very positive interview, I think.
Adams is very intelligent and very insightful. But like so many people of high intelligence, he is on the left. Really smart people think that because they are smarter than most everyone else thaw whatever they think of is smarter and therefore right. Adams comes with a quirk, though. He can analyze the current situation precisely and accurately and does so without the concomitant liberal attitude of horror.
