Per Twitter
"Just a heads up over this holiday weekend: There will be an independent candidate--an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance."
-Bill Kristol
Who is it, Mittens?
This absolutely disgusts me. This fool is going to cost us the election because he and some bitter Cruz supporters didn't get their way. He knows it will split the vote and we won't win. A few things:
1)He wants to cause enough of a vote split where no candidate has the 270. Ok. Let's say he does that. He will literally be usurping the will of all the people who voted for Trump in the primaries and general (which will be way more than his guy).
2)That assumes his candidate will even win one state. I would venture to guess his candidate won't win a single state but will divide the votes enough to help Hillary.
3)Maybe he wants Hillary. I had a Cruz supporter tell me on Twitter he'd rather 4 years of Hillary (he says it will only be 4 years) and 2 Supreme Court picks from her (he insists it will only be 2) so he can get a conservative like Cruz in 4 years.
Somewhere Hillary is cackling at the stupid party and "principled" conservatives who are willing to torpedo Trump to get all or nothing.
Let's hope either Bill is bluffing or this fails. Even Trump the other day seemed to concede it would give Hillary the election.
It takes a special kind of elitist attitude to usurp the voters of your own party and tell them you know better.
With the state of the country it currently is in, I really believe a 3rd party candidate will HELP Trump.
Anyone who votes for a third party hack would most likely have voted for the Rat party candidate absent a third party choice between only Trump and Clinton.
My reasoning is that if they are capable of voting third party, it means they are in the “AnyOneButTrump” column. So it’s better that they vote 3rd party instead of for the Rat candidate.
When was the last time Kristol was right about anything?
From where does Bill Kristol get all his political power?
Jeb?
Someone could be planning an official write in campaign. The petitions and paperwork needed to file for that would be much less stringent and the deadlines start in June through later summer.
1)He wants to cause enough of a vote split where no candidate has the 270. Ok. Let’s say he does that. He will literally be usurping the will of all the people who voted for Trump in the primaries and general (which will be way more than his guy).>>>> no he isn’t he is creating an alternative to the three apparent national candidates.
2)That assumes his candidate will even win one state. I would venture to guess his candidate won’t win a single state but will divide the votes enough to help Hillary.>>>> no it assumes that his candidate will win a significant state with substantial electoral college counts.
3)Maybe he wants Hillary. I had a Cruz supporter tell me on Twitter he’d rather 4 years of Hillary (he says it will only be 4 years) and 2 Supreme Court picks from her (he insists it will only be 2) so he can get a conservative like Cruz in 4 years. >>>> He probably wants hillary so what. Our job is to thwart everything he does legally.
The Libertarian Party just nominated their candidate, Gary Johnson, and he will be on the ballot in all 50 states. If Kristol pushes another candidate, he'll just split the anti-Trump, anti-Hillary vote and tip the election to Trump.
Lyndon Larouche doesn’t count lil billie.
Kristol is trying hard to get Clinton elected.
“Who is Bill Kristol working for?”
Hmmmm.
Thanks. Lord knows what kind of idiot kristol has in mind.
Ross Perot...0.00% of the Electoral Vote
I’m on twitter and I’ve seen no such thing...they all think he’s like Beck, INSANE!!!
Bill Kristol needs to go fly a kite.
Stop crying like a baby.
This is going nowhere if it’s even real.
Good question. I have never been able to stand the creepy little puke. His dad was a somebody conservative, named Irving Kristol. I believe Bill inherited the Weekly Standard. That’s all, besides media having him on their shows for the past 20 years or so, as a guest “conservative” and he has never been such. Maybe a loathsome Neo-Con. He reminds me of Gollum.
One of the first to warn years ago of Kristol’s treachery was Patrick J. Buchanan.
Kasich?
