A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) investigation into the U.S. Secret Service’s disclosure of the personnel files of Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has resulted in discipline for 41 agents.
The leaker has also resigned, according to a statement by DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson.
The conduct of 57 Secret Service personnel was reviewed, including 11 in the Senior Executive Service level, the highest levels of government. Of those, 41 are receiving some level of discipline....

BUT But but.
I was taken to task just the other day by a Freeper telling me, my writing the Secret Service did not want a Trump upsetting their gravy train any more than the GOPe did, was offensive. The Secret Service after all was above politics and separate from the Executive Branch.
Gosh, is it possible a smarter than smart Freeper was wrong?

The Secret Service is a joke. It needs a total shake up just like the VA.

But let an Army E-6 have failed a tape test within the last three years (subsequently meeting the standards) and said SSG can be involuntarily separated under the cover of "defense cuts."

I'm pretty sure the same types of criminal psychopaths in the IRS have 'leaked' Trump's taxes... those people will be tried and jailed ...

Yeah, I’m sure the identified leaker still has his security clearance and already has a job lined up with a contractor. Dude will probably wind up in the same building doing the same thing but sitting over in the contractor cubicles, that’s some real “punishment” there.
Trump should also just consider disbanding the Secret Service and providing his own private security. These guys are some combination of too corrupt/inept to protect him.

It LONG predates Obama. He’s not helping, of course, but the various TLAs have long been pursuing their own independent agendas. It’s a large part of why nothing ever changes no matter who gets elected.
