The Trump Bump has arrived.
After wrapping up an acutely fractious primary in which Donald Trump and his opponents lobbed scores of personal, playground insults at one another, the presumptive GOP nominee has quickly unified the vast majority of Republican voters around one goal: defeating Hillary Clinton, his prospective Democratic opponent.
Entering the general election trailing by about 7 points, Trump has rapidly erased most of that gap: As of Friday, Clintons advantage was down to roughly 2 points, according to the HuffPost Pollster average. And some polls, like a Fox News survey out on Wednesday, show Trump inching ahead of Clinton.
The main reason for Trumps surge over the past few weeks? He is earning increasingly larger shares of the Republican vote even as some prominent GOP leaders, like House Speaker Paul Ryan, havent yet committed to supporting their partys apparent nominee.
But rank-and-file Republican voters are lining up behind Trump in large numbers, closing the gap with Clintons support among Democrats, which had been higher during earlier stages of the campaign.
Republican voters are consolidating around Trump, and its been beneficial to him not to have other Republican opponents constantly attacking him, said Democratic pollster Geoff Garin, who advises the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA.
The data point to a close race in the fall, with about a dozen or so states likely to be decisive in the Electoral College all consistent with recent history.

Conservatives really are the silent majority. Many people think they have to espouse Marxist ideas in The World. But in their hearts, they harbor other views. It’s obvious to everyone that Trump is the leader we need. Eventually, even public liberals will be saying it out loud.
I don't think that's going to happen. She may benefit a little with party loyalists but there will be many disgruntled Bernie supporters who either turn to Trump or simply sit it out.
There seems to be very little enthusiasm for candidacy and it could be that offering Bernie the VP slot might be their only chance at winning.
Here's hoping for chaos at the democrat onvention.
Totally agree. We have to return to our basic founding principles of Judeo/Christian ethics, religious training and focus on the family to restore our Sacred Republic.
May we be up to the task.
I so believe exactly that, what you said.
Most democrats are paid to be professional democrats, or on the dole.
They know what they have to say, but in crisis they are likely to buy a clue. They may be employed but all over the country they have family who are crushed under democrat rule.
Look at Chicago. It may go RED, imho. They are surely through with their suicide run there, by now? It’s like a Third World country!
We absolutely have to win in November. I just don't understand people not 'getting' the severity of the threat we face.
All we can do is our best to educate from now until November 8th! Keep passing on good articles, talk with people you know, pamphlets, books, pocket Constitution, whatever works. This is it. . .
Trump Bumps, Frump Slumps
You better believe it. Well said.
Hate to disagree here, but Jeb has that title all to himself. She can be the DIM winner of the title though
I look for Pristine Paul Ryan to resign as Speaker of the House, before it is burned down around his leadership to global interests.
The two most glaring exceptions to Republican orthodoxy are Trump's position on illegal immigration (which is what catapulted his candidacy to the top) and his refusal to go on an apology tour when the Media attacked and the donor complex had the vapors.
I don’t think the Bernie people will go to Hillary. I think they will vote for Trump thus defeating Hillary.
“Freepers told me he hit his ceiling months ago.”
And they were right every single time.
For a day or two...
What’s kramen ?

And if we dont win this time. We will forever have a choice between the Democrat party and the Socialist party.
We will have reached the point of no return.

Unless we apply kinetic restructuring, of course.
I still think is as simple as us vs the people who would kill their own grandmothers if Roe v Wade was threatened. There are people who will vote for Hillary Clinton, knowing full well she is crooked, or whatever. They do not care anything about her past, her horribleness as a person. All they know is that if she gets elected, their sacred sacrament of abortion marches on.
“We absolutely have to win in November. I just don’t understand people not ‘getting’ the severity of the threat we face.”
They do get it. They are on the other side, pretending to be on ours.
They are Quislings.
If this were the only congregation for miles around you might get a temporary pass on it... but I bet it’s not.
