‘America Was Never Great’: Home Depot employee’s hat sparks outrage

Customers at a Staten Island Home Depot were shocked to see one of the company’s employees wearing an “America Was Never Great” hat earlier this week.

Krystal Lake, 22, of St. George got political during a shift on Tuesday. Her twist on Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s slogan was immediately shared online.

Ms. Lake said the social media furor between those who said she correct, and those who thought she was both unprofessional and wrong, was unexpected.

I didn't read that she was fired or even reprimanded. If she gets fired, the ACLU or other shyster attorneys would help her file a whopping law suit....freedom of speech, discrimination and all that....

So Home Depot attorneys are probably treading lightly on this at the moment.

I had a choice this morning of buying at HomeyDepot or Lowe’s. Looking for a few item. I chose Lowe’s since HomeyDepot thinks it is OK to publicly disparage my country, the USA.

if you’re not aware of this Home Depot did come out against what she did and said that they have a policy which forbids the wearing of any clothing or emblem promoting a political party or ideology. The problem is the girl the came out just afterwards and said she would be wearing this hat to work again.

I called Home Depot to tell them I would not be going to the store anymore until I heard them make a statement about what this girl has just threatened to do. They informed me that they would and they said that their office has been swamped with phone calls all day today and yesterday and that they intend to move to make a statement shortly
