Trump Wins Most Votes Ever for Republican Primary Candidate, Breaks Bush's Record
YC Young Conservatives ^ | May 18, 2016 | Alicia Powe

Many were probably just hoping for a brokered convention to derail the New York businessman. These “experts” were not simply wrong, they were drop-dead wrong.

Trump will not only reach the number of delegates it takes to win the nomination outright on Tuesday June 7th, he has won the most primary votes of any GOP presidential candidate in modern history. Based on astute political analysis, who would have guessed?

From Gateway Pundit:

George W. Bush won 10.8 million votes in the 2000 Republican primary. Donald Trump has won 11.1 million votes so far this year.

Donald Trump won Oregon tonight but Hillary Clinton barely squeaked out a win in Kentucky and lost to Bernie Sanders in Oregon....

... Trump has more primary wins (27), more overall state wins (30), the highest percentage of primary wins (87%), the highest percent of overall state wins (71%), the highest percent of primary delegates (74%), the highest percent of overall delegates (67%), and the highest percentage of votes (60%) than the final top four Republican and Democrat candidates.

B-b-but the ceiling…

The same naysayers who have ardently predicted Trump could never win the nomination also forsee the presumpitve Republican nominee getting crushed in the general election.

But he’ll probably break another record for most votes ever by a candidate when he mops the floor with Killary in November.

Haters gonna hate.

“I won’t lie. When I first read that Trump was running, I laughed out loud. Wish I could find that post. I’d print it off and frame it, just to keep myself humble.”

Same here. I called him a clown. Was on board with him after hearing his immigration talk.

But never mind the voters, let’s re-write the delegate rules and have a contested Republican convention anyway! The corrupt, do-nothing, entrenched elites are more important than millions of voters any day.

and yet the opposition from both the right and left will say Trump’s momentum is falling, even despite a landslide victory. They will try to minimize the devastation. Wait for it.

But it goes beyond that. We need to re-establish constitutional principles and smash the leftist infrastructure in this country. The USA is NOT a “democracy” and was never intended to be. It isn’t a crime to be anti-democratic. We should be proud to say that we are in favor of having an orderly constitutional republic again — and opposed to moving toward a more and more chaotic “democracy” model that empowers the takers and robs the makers.

People call me anti-democratic. I tell them that they are right.

One name starts with a vowel. And the other, a consonant?

Hewitt is concerned that Trump doesn’t know the Health Minister of Dirkastan. That is Hewitt’s primary qualification for Trump to be president. None of the others have a need to know that in Hewitt’s mind, just Trump.

I know. I was in a room with some Libs and a journalist on the tv remarked about "our democracy." I commented that America is not a democracy. There was a moment of silence, finally someone challenged me with, "Really?!!"

My response was, "Recite the Pledge of Allegiance."

There was pushback about the Pledge having been written in the mid 1800s.

I asked this clown to find the words democrat or democracy in the Declaration or The Constitution. End of story.

“I called him a clown. Was on board with him after hearing his immigration talk.”

Yep. It was Donald’s straight-up, no holds barred talk about immigration, that made me sit up and listen to him.

I was actually stunned to hear a presidential candidate saying the same things we citizens have been screaming at our representatives for years.

I knew then, that he was the man.

“There were many Freepers, like myself and Jim Robinson to name a couple, that early on knew Trump was going to win and win big.”

I dumped Cruz for Trump in June of last year. I seem to remember JimRob holding out a bit longer.

I’m just glad we all found our way.

“Before Cruz started crashing, I sort of leaned toward him. But there was always something that didn’t seem quite genuine with him. He seemed to be a little too slick.”

That was also a factor in my own retreat from Cruz. He just looked and sounded like a caricature of a normal person. He came across like a B movie rendition of the typical lying politician. I mean, the phoniness was just on 11 all the time with him. That was a major turn-off.

Exactly!

In the latest ABC poll Trump loses to Hillary, but Hillary loses to George Zimmerman, Andrew Dice Clay, and SpongeBob Squarepants.
